Whammy or no whammy, that's the question here
The first breath after careful spraying catapults me into the eighties. Ok, I was too young for everything but "My Melody Flowers" but already in my twenties I had a love for the good old 80's growlers and that hasn't really changed until today. So of course I couldn't get around Scaasi.
Ylang ylang, musk, civet and co. literally called my name.
So the first impression is definitely woolly and that lasts for a while. But slowly more floral elements appear and this rather unsweet. Zibet is there, this cannot be denied and is wanted (at least by me and on my skin) but is somewhat restrained.
Tuberose kills vanilla for my nose, which makes Scaasi a floral floral valley. Can you even call it that? Many florientals are often more oriental, Scassi just not. So he doesn't only play in a league and is not only 80's but also flowery and animalistic without the cat pee in your eyes or animating my girls to run away. Of course he has like many fragrances of this kind a really good durability. He needs a little space and patience. Appropriately dosed and for the right occasion, it is a really beautiful scent. Apparently a rather unknown underestimated sweetheart. At least for the intrepid, brave civilians among us.
