Rose Hand Cream
There is something arresting in the top notes: a very realistic rose otto accord, jammy and almost tomato-y like that material sometimes is. There is a certain green-ish accent here, too, and a buttery iris note that smells almost fatty.
It's a promising start, but unfortunately, it never really goes anywhere on my skin, gradually becoming more acidic to my nose as the drydown progresses.
I'm left feeling that this is the least interesting of Serge Lutens many takes on rose, especially compared to Sa Majeste and Rose de Nuit.
