Lime overdose
Sadly I don't get the hype for this one. I like sweet citrus cocktail scents, so I had high hopes for it, but I find it so unbalanced. Very heavy on the lime and rum, so it comes across really bitter in the opening. The coconut is much more subtle and can barely stand up to the strong lime note, it adds more texture than actual scent to the fragrance.
Even though I understand why this reminds many of a caipirinha, I don't find it quite sugary and refreshing enough for that. It's a very dense, un-sparkly scent, if that makes sense to you. Especially when you compare it to other citrus fragrances!

My biggest gripe with this is that the lime note just isn't very nicely done to my nose. You know those people who say citrus scents all smell like cleaning products or toilet rim blocks? I'm usually not one of them, but I can kind of see it here. It's just so aggressively clean and sour.

At first I thought maybe this was more of a masculine scent, which makes sense when you look at how many male Parfumo users own it compared to women. But my husband doesn't like it either, and I'm honestly not that keen on smelling it on anyone, regardless of gender.

To be fair, it's not completely awful. I could see why someone who favors lime above other citrus fruits and finds most other citrus fragrances too light would like it. But I'm honestly a bit confused how this got such a high rating, in my opinion it's a mediocre fragrance more fitting for a household product than a personal scent.

A fresh citrusy... gourmand?!?
This is fantatsic. Bright and characterful in the opening with the blast of lime giving big mojito vibes. The sugar doesn't stay in the background for long, jumping in the join the party giving the this limey concoction a Refresher (the chewy sweet in the blue wrapper) like smell that you can almost taste. It takes me back to being picked up from primary school and handed a few pennies to go foraging in the sweet shop for the most tangy, sour and chewy sweets. You couldn't beat a Refresher.

This is a very happymaking fragrance. The coconut somes in to add a softer creamier edge to the zingy freshness, yet detracts nothing from the lime bomb we are experiencing. In summer I imagine this fragrance would pop all the way off, giving cocktail teas and sweet vibes all summer evening long. The sillage is rather grand for such a citrusy boy, yet as the fragrance progresses we are left with the coconut, rum and sandalwood which linger on the skin. Now and again a waft will hit your nose and provide comfort and joy all over again. Despite it coolness in the opening this is a strangely comforting fragrance. Maybe because of the Refresher association, maybe because of the sugar and rum.

A beautiful fragrance that sits firmly in the unisex catergory. The sweetness and coconut gives it a femininity, whilst the aromatics from the rum and lime offer a loudness usualy associated with masculine fragrances.

So bad recently
At first, the first time this perfume came out, I was very excited because it seemed to be a great alternative to Creed's Virgin Island water, and indeed it was. instead now with the latest batches the coconut note has disappeared and you can only feel a chemical lemon note that creates a dish soap effect and makes the fragrance almost annoying
as always, but especially this time, I advise against the blind buy, see you next time :)

Summer is magic
The story is told that a young American marine, who had survived a castaway shipwreck, was shipwrecked on Playa Daiquiri.
Exhausted, thirsty, he flung himself into the first bar he found.
Since the only drink he could find was rum, he had it mixed with lime juice and added sugar: the first Daiquiri was born.
Hemingway's favourite cocktail, fresh and with a delicate aroma, with the addition of coconut that makes us perceive his summer breasts even more: Malibu is this.
A fragrance that brings cheerfulness, refreshes and is very suitable for summer where, something not to be taken for granted, the coconut note can be perceived quite a lot.
‘The world is a beautiful place and it is worth fighting for’ from “For Whom the Bell Tolls” written by Hemingway

Lemon italian ice morphs into mojito coconut sandalwood
The description of the notes immediately made me think of Creed Virgin Island Water (most famous of the mojitos, probably) and it is incredibly similar to VIW, but on my skin it opens with a big big blast of sweet lemon that smells almost exactly like the lemon Italian ice that you find at amusement parks in the summer. Then, it dries down to a sweet vaguely citrus coconut sandalwood on my skin. I don’t really get any rum at all, except perhaps in some light, vanillic touches to the sweetness. Interestingly, the sweet coconut sandalwood produces phantom fig for a spell before the coconut recedes too much and then it just smells like lightly citric sugar. Disappeared sometime after ~7-8hrs.

Sprayed on from the tester bottle at Ministry of Scent.

Lime, coconut and rum. Greener, more bitter than VIW, which balances the creamy coconut and the sugar. The rum gives an intoxicating facet.

Opening reminds you of refreshing cocktail drink followed by light coconut and sandalwood mixture. Well blended and smooth summer frag.

A fresh and bright green-citric Summer fragrance, balanced by a slightly boozy and creamy sweet-woody base. Way better than VIW. 100% Unisex

I prefer it to Virgin Island Water. It’s a very high end vacation, think Maldives/Bora-Bora. Sugar, Rum, Coconut. Wish-list Summer 2025.

So refreshing in the heat! It's bright lime with a slightly sweet, coconutty rum. Like wearing a Mojito. A summer fave!

This feels like wearing a cocktail drink. All lime juice and sugar water. No thanks.

Don't fight the coconut. Be the coconut.

I mean, it is what it says it is: Malibu. Malibu and some cola, it seems, especially in the opening - very lemony and fizzy. Cool!

I give it credit for having more lime than VIW which is what I was hoping for, but it's also more sickly sweet and synthetic

Perfekt für die heißen Sommertage. Haltbarkeit auf meiner Haut in Ordnung, auf meiner Kleidung sind jedoch mehrere Tage möglich
