A Safe Bet for Stella Devotees

Stella Peony combines a squeaky clean, fresh accord of peony-freesia-pepper with the familiar Egyptian musk accord that includes a distinct hint of mildew to my nose (previously featured in the original Stella). The overall effect is a fresher sister of Stella: thinner, airier and a bit higher pitched but pleasant all the same. If you are a lover of the original Stella and appreciate fresher scents, I can't imagine this wouldn't wouldn't be a safe blind buy for you.

Skin Scent

More than anything, this perfume ends up being a skin scent. After 2 to 3 hours there’s really not much left of the perfume except for a beautiful light scent if you sniffed directly where you sprayed.
Longevity bats pretty much zero. The scent itself is beautiful, but it’s expensive considering the longevity is so low.
It’s strong on Peony and pepper in the beginning, tapering off to a lesser Peony and Amber.

Grown-up Peony

Being a big fan of pretty much all Stella McCartney perfumes, I was not disappointed by the new release of this perfume. Faithful to Stella's beloved English garden aromas, this is a beautiful modern yet grown-up peony scent leaning towards mild chypre. The only downside, like with other Stella's perfumes, is longevity. The smell dies out after about 3-4 hours leaving pretty much no trace behind.
