Club in the 2000s - or how a cult fragrance is reborn
One should be cautious with superlatives, but please forgive me: I am absolutely thrilled.
A brief backstory. I casually came across the new Strellson fragrances and even participated in a contest to test them all. They sounded and still sound very interesting. Unfortunately, I didn’t win, which I should have known considering my old "luck" at the lottery booths of my childhood.
So it was: Read, test, and off to the drugstore where the complete line is offered. In addition to "Club | Strellson," there is also "Office | Strellson," "Date | Strellson," and "Mountain | Strellson." All of them are quite noteworthy, and each has its own justification. I was particularly eager to test "Club | Strellson," as it was supposed to be a nod to my beloved "Le Mâle Essence de Parfum | Jean Paul Gaultier," which, as we know, has been discontinued.
Now here’s what happened: I walked in and immediately applied Club to my wrist.... Yes... sweet, somehow nice... but Le Mâle Essence de Parfum??? No, I had a different impression of that. So I stepped out of the drugstore to clear my head. This fragrance reminded me of something. Since I had another appointment, I moved on, but I kept sniffing my wrist. "What fragrance does it remind me of?" Damn... I couldn’t figure it out. Do you know that feeling? And suddenly it clicked. "Yes!!! That’s "Envy for Men (Eau de Toilette) | Gucci." I was on fire! I should add that I owned the OG several years ago and until recently also had "The Envy of FOMO | FOMO," which I didn’t fully like due to its extreme "greenness."
The Strellson takes a different, I would say, more direct approach. It doesn’t get caught up in herbal nuances but goes straight into this beautiful clove/rose interplay that I loved so much in "Envy for Men (Eau de Toilette) | Gucci." This heart note lasts for hours. The "Club" is a fragrance that truly lasts a long time on me (8-10 hours), and whenever you think it’s gone, a cloud of this enchanting perfume catches me again. I’m now on day 4 with it on clothing, and the T-shirt I wore on the first day still smells fantastic of it.
Conclusion: Envy for Men Eau de Toilette was unique. However, Club catapults me back to a time that was carefree and truly beautiful. Strellson "Club" is suitable not only for going out but also for formal business occasions, dining with friends, and in the office. A true all-rounder that radiates seriousness and charisma. I am really very impressed and excited.
Finally, a worthy successor to a cult fragrance.
My recommendation: Test it and fall in love again.
Best regards to this wonderful community.

Da ich kürzlich den Envy of Fomo hatte und mir das etwas zu grün-herbe störte, könnte der Kandidat hier eine echte Alternative sein 👍🏼
