GREEN IS HOPE
green is hope. at least the lid of the bottle of "tweed" that's in my hallway is green. it's one of those bottles that's all over the house and i don't know exactly what to do with it. they don't belong in my collection. but i can't part with them either. the same goes for "tweed". strangely enough, the bottle never gets empty. that's probably its secret. i found out about the fragrance, or "unduft", from a documentary on arte about england. interesting documentary. bad speaker. at the end he said something about "tweed" and the bottle was briefly visible. it works well for me. all someone has to do is say something and i buy it straight away. i'm the perfect target group for everything. so i order this fragrance. a few days later the package arrives and i'm holding the worst bottle imaginable in my hand. nothing looks cheaper than this one with the green plastic lid. my first thought was to throw it away. my second was, who buys this? first thought: ufffffffffffff, it blows my mind. "katzenpipi" has already been mentioned here and that's exactly what it is. so "tweed" quickly migrated to the hallway, on the sturdy wooden bench, next to the rough footwear for long walks in the fresh air. but it's not so fresh when the farmers are spreading manure. i fearlessly fight against that with "tweed". it works great. the scent hits you so unpleasantly at first that the manure quickly becomes a minor matter. so, out into the cold, rain and manure. put "tweed" generously on (the bottle never gets empty) and off you go. off into the woods and fields. then at some point, when you come home tired, something smells very good and envelops you. what is it? it's still "tweed", which becomes homely, friendly and soft over time. a bit out of date, rather like downton abbey, in that strange village there. but quite pleasant. right for the country, where dior & co are rather inappropriate. nothing ever changes in the country and with "tweed" neither. so the bottle, always full, stays with me and maybe hope really is green, even if it comes in a bottle with a cheap lid.
