… then they carried the little angels away

A scent that you can smell from all corners and often with an intensity for which the word nuisance is not enough, you either have to love or you can only hate it.

The latter applies to me for the great Angel. After several headaches triggered by unavoidable scent clouds, a friendship with the original seems impossible for all time.
Even with Vanille Chocolat from Les Senteurs, which is considered a viable alternative, I couldn't connect due to the penetrating mushroom smell on my skin.
But fate does not give up, and so I finally came to Jasmin di Giava, probably the most affordable of all possible alternatives.

With cautious curiosity, I venture into the skin test - and I am pleasantly surprised: blissfully smiling Buddha on the golden bottle, but the scent neither sends me into a coma nor to nirvana.
Instead, I find myself at a fair between cotton candy vendors and the stand with candied apples.
Before the smell alone gives me cavities, I approach a table covered with velvet, where earthy smelling patchouli oil is offered in the most beautiful hippie manner, creating a surprisingly pleasant scent blend with the sweets.
Time and again, the scent of roasted almonds, caramel, and dark chocolate sneaks in from somewhere.
Or is it the punch with amaretto that is being served just a few steps away?
Yes, that’s what I’m in the mood for now. I treat myself to a cup, engage in conversation with nice people, we have another round, laugh, and have fun. I don’t even know how long I’ve been there. Somehow the hours just flew by.
Before I get too carried away and jump on the carousel or everything starts spinning without help, I say goodbye and head home in high spirits. There’s still a light hint of the fair on my skin.
And I leave the day behind me, drifting off to dreamland carried by the little angels.

Overall, Jasmin di Giava has surprised me very positively.
Although I did not directly compare it to the mother of all gourmands for the reasons mentioned above, in my opinion, it comes very close to the original, has no unwanted side effects with moderate dosing, is clearly perceptible, and lasts well.
Price-wise, it is absolutely unbeatable.
While I couldn’t necessarily recognize jasmine and prefer less sweet and more natural scents myself, it is definitely worth a recommendation for gourmand fragrance lovers.

I was inspired by your comment, made a blind purchase, and I'm really impressed! I had Angel as a tester for direct comparison, so it's a great alternative for those who only occasionally love Angel. Here’s a little **trophy of inspiration** as a thank you!
