Do I like the smoking beauty or don't I?
It's never enough scents for a perfumista. Especially when she sees the sign "Sale" -50%.
So am I. I stormed into the store and sprayed myself from top to bottom with various good and less exciting stuff Among the stuff was also "Anvers" by Helmut Lang.

What can I say-Anvers is something very special. The only question is whether the scent would be something for me or not.

The fragrance is already very special: a strong, loud mixture, which is fruity-green, spicy-woody, ambry-honey-sweet, flowery, but also somehow very smoky, as if one had spent some time in a fully smoky restaurant.

For habitually I avoid fragrances that smell of cigarette smoke as a convinced non-smoker. So I could not cope with the "Nohiba", because this vintage fragrance smelled like an older, chain-smoking lady. Anvers is a little different:
A medium-light curtain of cigarette smoke floats over the green fruitiness, but not in a fatal way of a chain smoker, but like in a somewhat smoky room.

In any case, a lot happens in the fragrance: it constantly oscillates between feminine and masculine, tending more towards masculine.

On the paper towel (and only there) it reminds me of Eau d'Soir /Sisley by the way: there it is less fruity than on my skin, but rather sparkling, spicy-green-floral with a very slight tendency to smoky.

For more than half an hour, I've been in front of the rules. Thinking because I couldn't walk, but I couldn't make a clear choice for the scent either. It's just smoke. But also because of my poor partner, who has to endure my preference for "oh so interesting" fragrances: the fragrance is not very feminine and pleasing. (Maybe I should get something more pleasing ;) )

I haven't bought the scent (yet?). But this thing is worth considering, because Anvers is somehow unique
