A tobacco and vanilla forward perfume
I found this one as I was looking for dupes of Guerlain's Tobacco Honey. I was curious to see how both would compare since they have similar notes and main accords (on Parfumo). I already have a few samples of Vilhelm Parfumerie and a full bottle of one of their offerings in my collection, so I was curious to smell it.
Instead of being similar to Tobacco Honey, it's almost a dupe of Tobacco Vanille Eau de Parfum. I smell the deep, woody dry note of tobacco and the distinctive sweet note of vanilla. At the beginning, the scent smelled of dried fruits (even though it's not listed in the notes) and tobacco, a partnership between sweetness and spicy woodiness. There was also the underlying note of a more astringent and sweet vanilla note. I never really got the ginger, wild honey or butter note which is kind of disappointing since I was curious to see how they would blend together. The scent starts out strong, but as time passed, it began to smooth itself out. It's not as aggressive as Tom Ford' interpretations, which makes it wearable on more different occasions. Tobacco ends up at the forefront of the fragrance with a soothing woody spicy accord. It stayed pretty much the same up until the end.
It's a nice tobacco perfume, but not something that has the wow factor that makes me want to add it to my collection. I find it leans more masculine although women who love tobacco scents could certainly pull it off. It lacks a bit of depth and dimension, and since I rated Tom Ford a 7/10 and this one smells quite similar to it, the score will be the same.
