I keep on falling in and out…..
….of love with you…..
Today - very current - I am again "highly in love" with Volkamaria……tomorrow, however, that could look quite different :-D…...but, as they say: Live in the moment..!!
And the moment says: What a beautiful fragrance…!!
Volkamaria starts wonderfully spritzy-citrusy…....with delightful bitter bergamot and fine, unsweet mandarin…..
The transition to the heart note happens surprisingly quickly and quite immediately……from the citrus freshness, a soft-powdery, velvety-white iris emerges in no time at all …..flanked by moderately sweet heliotrope……
A little bit of the initial bitter citrus still lingers in the background……and that’s a good thing…….without this "fresh" counterbalance, the fragrance could easily risk losing itself in heavy tonka sweetness……..however, it is excellently balanced and doesn’t come too close to a "sweet hater" like me……..
My personal little stumbling block - so to speak, the "falling out moment" - is again the rose, which I almost always perceive as sour-fruity…….but it is - as I said - just a small and very "personal" stumbling block…..especially since this rose episode is only a brief sequence in the fragrance experience…….
From here, Volkamaria becomes wonderfully soft, gentle, light-creamy, and musky-fluffy……and - very importantly!! - despite tonka and heliotrope, it still smells fresh, light, and elegantly maintained…..
The longevity is surprisingly good…..which I will just attribute to some artificial molecule on a hunch (possibly musk) …….luckily, in this case, it’s one that doesn’t make me recoil in horror ;-))……

I really like that... There are actually scents like this... one day you can't get enough of it, and the next day you can't stand it... or something just bothers you. But Wiener Blut really has some amazing stuff in their lineup. Like the Unheimlich... :@)).
And this Volkamaria must be interesting too...
