Wondering with half an eyebrow
Today's rose is not satisfied with a mere (red) carpet - this is where tarring takes place. Concretely: that twist on some fragrances with rose and labdanum, which, despite a certain sweetness and florality, goes into the oily tar. But even though it has a strong character, it is used with care and a lot of nasal measure. The second layer of the designated Nennen-wir-her-carpet consists of unclean musk, the third layer is creamy wax from the border-resin corner.
It is possible that the base has become a bit slippery after applying the second and third layers, because the actual appearance of the rose is then relatively careful, and moreover more sweet and fruity than floral and powerful. More young woman than lady, could be formulated pointedly. The interaction with the musk is all the more striking, of course, as the musk, for its part, relies on hints instead of broad-leggedness.
The queen of flowers, which is not very monarch-like in habitus, does indeed successively give way to musk, which in turn is intensified by waxy sweetness on the threshold of vanilla and mild, creamy resin. Nothing becomes "animalistic" in the narrower sense, even though the fragrance is pleasantly far removed from clean, well-behaved musk. Nevertheless, I find it rather homely than animalistic. A hint of light wood contributes a pleasant airiness in the context.
Around noon I can finally detect a hint of a medicinal oud note in the mixture and this, at the latest, puts an end to the long-established impression that today we are dealing with a tastefully balanced mixture of very characterful, but discreetly used ingredients, which truly deserves the attribute "exquisite".
And since "exquisite" and "sponge cake" are quite close to each other in terms of sound, I wonder, even with only half an eyebrow, about a note like of gently caramelized shortbread with a splash of cream filling in the afternoon. Conceptually, this might put a damper on things - I enjoy it. In any case, it can be considered an intermezzo, because hours before 'Exquisite Musk' had already found its final line
Conclusion: Successful
Thank Ergoproxy for the sample.
