Caban Yves Saint Laurent 2015

Caban is the fragrance that everyone forgets when talking about Babycat or Tuxedo.

To me, Caban smells like an autumn evening in the city. I walk through the cool streets. Golden light. Leaves rustle underfoot and the trench coat fits perfectly. On my way to the restaurant, I already sense that red wine and good conversations await me.

The opening is like a little toast: a hint of liqueur, warm and sweet, barely there, then gone again. Then pepper crackles on the skin.

And then comes what makes the fragrance so special: sandalwood in its most beautiful form. Creamy, soft, almost velvety. How beautiful you are! Tonka bean brings a delicate sweetness that never tips into dessert territory. Patchouli gently blends in and adds depth. The most beautiful balance between sweet, spicy, and woody.

Caban is grown-up and elegant. A fragrance that acts like a statement without ever being loud. For me, it is the epitome of autumn chic.
