A Fragrant Stinker..

After spraying, a distinct fecal (poopy) note was to be "sensed," embedded in a sweetish veil. This scent lasted for a few hours, and then, pleasingly, the fragrance evolved, bringing a strong earthy/mossy smell to the forefront, which I really liked. To my surprise, during the "dry down," I still detected a pissy note. I would claim that for lovers of animalic scents, everything that is feasible (or desired) is offered here. While the fecal note in Kublai Khan was noticeably stronger, that fragrance didn't have as much "detail" to offer as Hyrax. Of all the animalic scents I have tested so far, I find Hyrax to be the most successful. Therefore, on my wish list, the Khan is replaced by the adorable hyrax.

For me, I would say it's a mix of different reasons: on one hand, it's about provocation; the day I wear it, I'll be in that kind of mood. On the other hand, I also just like the scents. You could probably call it a sexual statement. It might also be a signal to a potential partner.

Sorry, but is wearing such fragrances just for provocation? I admit... I kind of like Hyrax, but it's still gross and one of the most unbearable scents I've encountered so far.

I like Koublai Khan better, but this one isn't bad either. I grew up in the countryside and am used to a lot of animal scents.

Funny, while I found Khan way too powdery and just a bit animalic, I thought Hyrax was way too harsh and unbearable. But that's how perceptions differ.
