Strawberry Tres Leches Arabiyat Sugar 2025

Initial blast of alcohol have not impressed, however the drydown is a game changer.
This is not a strawberry cake or vanilla milkshake type of gourmand. In fact far from it. It is reasonably complex scent slowly developing from a fruity mix of sweet clems and strawberries into lactonic vanilla, woody ambergris and musk, with a whisper of, what I believe is either lavender or heliotrope. The manufacturer lists orange blossom note - luckily for me it's not detectable in this fragrance.

I've never tried the strawberry tres leches cake, so feel like naming the fragrance "Strawberry, Trees (Wood) & Leche" to capture main notes of fruit, wood and vanilla cheesecake.

I adore the ambergris giving off comforting sandalwood-like smell in the dry down. Fans of Nebras Elixir will be able to relate here.

The bottle looks too juvenile and silly for such a sophisticated scent. It does not stop me from giving this creation 10/10.

In the opening I get some citrus mixed with a milky sweet strawberry. As it dries down I get more of that vanilla, more of a strawberry cake, and freesia that ultimately leads to smelling like the YBM dna. I knew based off the notes that there was a high chance this was going to smell like YBM. So glad I got a decant. Had it not been for that dry down I was leaning towards purchasing a full bottle but I have too many fragrances that mimic YBM.

First of all let’s clear out the “Tres Leches” = 3 kinds of milk, in which a Mexican cake is soaked in: evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream. If you haven’t tried that cake before it’s delicious.
From all YBM inspirations this one is the one I adventured to blind buy, if they all kind of smell similar why not adventure to the one with the funky bottle. I own and like YBM and they do smell similar. Strawberry Tres Leches seem to have a fruitier start.
Everytime I wear this, there is specially one teacher at my kids school that always compliments me on it. Initially she thought it was my toddler that smelt like that. To me it has a strong sillage and projection. Usually wear it on my skin and clothes. To me this is pretty strong so I can only wear it in cooler days and more like fall and winter.
I bought it because of its fun bottle and I knew my daughters would enjoy looking at such a different bottle, and it does catches their attention.

Strawberry is quite a feminine note in perfumes, I think.
Nevertheless, I love this note so much that I occasionally like to wear it myself.
In "Strawberry Tres Leches | Arabiyat Sugar," they really nailed the strawberry.

Right from the opening, there's a feminine mix of strawberry and nectarine.
In the pyramid, it lists not just strawberry, but strawberry milkshake, which fits better.
The strawberry comes across sweet and lactonic, indeed like a milkshake, but with a prominent, zesty nectarine.

At first, it reminded me slightly of "Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81 | Kayali," but in the dry down, it goes in a different direction and becomes fresher.
Musk and the floral notes likely give the fragrance this freshness.
However, the scent never becomes truly fresh; it maintains a pleasant sweetness.
In the dry down, the strawberry is the most prominent note, the nectarine is still there, but not as present as at the beginning.
The floral notes and musk remain more in the background.
The musk doesn't smell particularly high-quality; I find it has a musty quality that bothers me.

All in all, it remains a fresh strawberry scent with a slight sweetness, which would be more suitable for ladies (W80%/20%M).

Regarding performance:
Unfortunately, it is so weak that I have to search for it on my clothing after just about half an hour.
This is definitely the weakest from the Arabiyat-Sugar line.
The longevity, on the other hand, is moderate.

Anyone who loves Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81 and is looking for a fresher light version can be happy with this scent.
Unfortunately, it is too feminine and too weak for me.

Strawberry Tres Leches is already the fifth fragrance from the Arabiyat Sugar line that I have tested.
While there are countless strawberry scents on the market, since I really like this note in perfumes, there can never be enough of them for me.
Having been disappointed by the previous fragrances in the line, I hoped that this one would finally be something for me.

The scent opens with a slightly alcoholic note, which quickly dissipates, revealing a pleasantly sweet strawberry.
It smells less like a fresh fruit and is more lactonic-creamy, reminiscent of a strawberry milkshake.
Nectarine joins in, adding a fresh, fruity touch that harmonizes beautifully with the creamy strawberry.

As it develops, the strawberry remains present while the nectarine gradually recedes into the background.
The fragrance becomes more floral.
Freesia makes an appearance, giving Strawberry Tres Leches a slightly fresh, floral nuance.
Although it remains noticeable, it allows the strawberry to stay in the foreground at all times.

In the drydown, vanilla and musk finally join in. They give the fragrance a soft, powdery facet, gently fading away.

Unfortunately, the sillage is very weak, as with all the Arabiyat Sugar fragrances I have tested so far. After just 20 minutes, the scent becomes extremely close to the skin. On clothing, only a light hint remains, which I can perceive quite subtly for about 2 hours.

It is a unisex fragrance, but I see it more on a woman.

In summary, I must say that Strawberry Tres Leches unfortunately did not convince me. The creamy-sweet strawberry milk in the opening is indeed delicious, but the weak longevity is a significant downside.
For this reason, I cannot recommend it, as there are far better strawberry fragrances on the market with stronger performance.
For me, it will remain just a decant.
