Warm, soft and wonderfully balanced
Saffron & Leather Intense by Benjamin Barber truly surprised me in a positive way. This fragrance is a masterful composition of saffron, leather, and vanilla - rounded off with a fine, spicy note that adds depth and character to the whole without ever being intrusive.
The opening is rich, exotic, and immediately captivating. The gentle leather accord, combined with a hint of powdery iris, gives the fragrance a noble, almost soothing aura. For me, Saffron & Leather Intense is an exceptionally comforting scent - warm, soft, and very harmonious.
What I particularly appreciate is the balanced unisex characteristic. This fragrance feels neither classically masculine nor purely feminine - it is simply made for everyone who loves special scents. The tobacco note in the background is also kept very subtle, which I personally find pleasant, as tobacco can often become too dominant quickly. Here it remains subtle and perfectly rounds off the overall picture.
One word: Fantastic! The leather and saffron scent is simply pleasant, noble, and not exaggerated. Not a fragrance that fills or dominates the room, but one that unfolds elegantly and softly.
One star deduction perhaps only because I would have wished for a slightly longer longevity - but that is nitpicking at a high level.
Conclusion: A very successful, harmonious fragrance with a noble character and a great feel-good factor. For me, definitely worth recommending!
