A Chai with a Kick, Please
A scent like a spice market - intense, warm, and at the same time a bit out of time. The first impression: spicy chai, slightly sweet, with that typical blend of cardamom, cinnamon, and clove. Right after that, a subtle vanilla comes into play, giving the whole thing a creamy roundness.
Amid the warm spice notes, rum flashes through now and then - not dominant, but present enough to give the fragrance an alcoholic-spicy depth. A light veil of oak moss finally reminds one of old-school scents. This makes the fragrance feel both modern and experimental, yet a bit nostalgic.
The composition itself is exciting and definitely not off the shelf. Sweet and bitter, creamy and edgy, warm and almost cool in the dry down - many different contrasts have been well integrated here. Despite this complexity, the fragrance remains wearable - just for me, it's not so easy to categorize, the question that remains open for me: When can one wear this thing? Where can it best show its strengths?
