Soft sandalwood and not-so-dirty rice steam
BTSO really is the master of cringe names. There is nothing dirty about this scent and it doesn't need to pretend like there is. On the contrary, this is such a soft and clean fragrance to my nose.
The main note is a light, milky sandalwood. Rice is quite noticeable, too. It's a fluffy rice steam similar to the one in Kenzo Amour, even though the rest of the scent is quite different from this one. I also get a lot of white musk and the lightest touch of cedar, emphasizing the woodsy skin scent vibes. Almond adds a hint of sweet warmth, peony and bergamot contribute some cool freshness to balance it. I especially like how the peony lifts and brightens the scent, it's a great addition to this kind of muted scent profile.
At first I found this boring, but as I got to know it better, it grew on me. Now I think it's a pretty scent for everyday use. If you go in with the expectation of something attention-grabbing or "dirty" (in any sense of the word), you will be disappointed, but if you're looking for a fresh and clean skin scent with a noticeable rice note, this might be just right.
