Soft Sandalwood Musk
I was intrigued by this one because almond was a new note to me and I haven't tried it before. Paired with my search for a good, realistic rice scent and and its overall popularity, I had to try it.
Disappointingly, I didn't detect any almond or even nuttiness that I could recognize. The scent developed into a creamy woodiness that was pleasant enough, but it also didn't smell like rice to me. As it warms on the skin, it really does become sandalwood-musk forward. It's soft and calm, definitely not the impression of 'dirty' that the name and many other descriptions imply. Definitely no rice, either. Bummer.
It lasted about 3 hours before it became more of a close skin scent, and it stayed a soft and clean sandalwood-musk the entire time. I don't dislike it - it's lovely, all things considered, but for all the hype and people going on about how this was a super creamy realistic rice scent and waxing lyrical about it, it was disappointing to just have this be... well, average.

Like you, I expected something very different. I still love it, very comforting and clean scent, but it's not at all rice and almond forward.
This is first and foremost a woody fragrance.
