New York Bujairami

The powerhouse Bujairami is currently expanding strongly into Europe and has other strong candidates in its range alongside the well-known bestseller Hectic. After reading that New York is supposed to be a dupe of my beloved Sculpture, I had to have it. Thanks to a nice Souk partner, I was able to hold New York in my hands just one day later. Best regards again!

Bujairami has definitely impressed me with New York again, as it is like a more potent Sculpture Parfum 2.0!
More power, more alarm, more noble bubblegum sweetness, with the same base DNA.
New York is a real hit and even plays in a league above the classic from the 90s.
This seductive play of woods, flowers, and sweet tonka accords is simply addictive!
At no point does it feel overloaded or synthetic. Perfectly balanced and suitable for any situation all year round!
Compliments will not be long in coming!

New York by Bujairami is for me a classic case of: On paper, rather unspectacular - on the skin, suddenly really good. The fragrance pyramid sounds almost banal, but as soon as the scent unfolds, you quickly realize that there is more to it.

The opening is fresh and citrusy, carried by a clear bergamot. However, a generous portion of coriander immediately adds a slightly green, spicy sharpness to the start. For my taste, it's almost a bit too much of a good thing at the beginning. It feels momentarily somewhat aggressive and stands out quite a bit from the freshness.

But after a short time, everything calms down noticeably. The scent becomes rounder, softer, and significantly more pleasant. Ambroxan brings this modern, slightly salty freshness, while apple and vanilla introduce a subtle sweetness without ever becoming sticky. This is exactly where New York starts to work for me.

In the drydown, a clean, warm summer fragrance emerges with pleasant depth. Tonka bean, amber, and light woods provide a creamy, slightly sweet base that feels very wearable and surprisingly elegant. I keep thinking of a mix between Lafayette Street, Sculpture Homme, and Uden - the scent moves somewhere right between these three worlds.

What also stands out positively to me: The radiance is really good. Especially in warm weather, it performs excellently and remains pleasantly noticeable without being overwhelming.

In summary, a fragrance that has convinced me much more than I expected after the pyramid - a rounded, modern summer scent with good presence.
