Noble Spicy Green
The "Casamorati - Harrods | Xerjoff" smells exactly as the bottle looks:
Noble, royal, green.

One definitely needs to appreciate green, slightly herbal and spicy scents to enjoy this one. If that is the case, then you receive a noble, balanced men's fragrance here. Nothing stands out, nothing is bothersome. Due to its rather harsh notes, I actually see the "Casamorati - Harrods | Xerjoff" only on men. I would find it strange on women: however, that is merely my subjective opinion.

At the beginning, I smell green spice, probably from basil and parsley, which remind one of medicinal or herb gardens. Cypress and orange blossoms add a lightness and floral quality to the spice, resulting in a fragrant, pleasant symbiosis that evokes spring.
The spicy base notes of myrrh and incense also contribute to the olfactory experience, even developing a slight smokiness over time that somewhat but never completely overshadows the green notes. The smoky notes are carried by cypriol, which takes on slightly woody nuances and thus perfects the association of standing in a herb garden in spring.

Personally, I feel that the "Casamorati - Harrods | Xerjoff" somehow lacks a sweet note. I could imagine that a vanilla or tonka note in the base could have made it develop a bit less herbaceous-spicy. However, this is not a demerit, as the fragrance is overall wonderfully and balancedly conceived in what it is supposed to be, namely a green men's fragrance.

Notes from the Past and Present
The evening descended over London, and the streets around Knightsbridge sparkled in the glow of the lanterns. A cool breeze blew over from Hyde Park, mingling with the scent of wet asphalt, freshly brewed coffee, and the last flower stalls of the day. I stepped into the glass entrance hall of Harrods and immediately felt the atmosphere change - here was all luxury, all history, all promise.

Even before I found my way to the perfume department, I sprayed Casamorati Harrods on my wrist. Instantly, I was enveloped by a combination of fresh herbs and zesty petitgrain. Rosemary and basil stood out, lively and sharp like an unexpected laugh echoing through the quiet corridors. The top note was a wake-up call, a flash of energy that pulled me directly into the fragrance salon, where collectors and connoisseurs stood in small groups, curious and admiring at the same time.

I followed the scent deeper into the room. Orange blossoms now mingled with cedar leaves and cypress wood, forming a heart that was elegant, floral, and yet earthy. Every movement, every step made the fragrance feel different: sometimes floral and gentle, sometimes smoky and mysterious. It was as if Harrods itself breathed a life of its own - the old wooden floors creaked softly, the crystal of the chandeliers reflected the light, and Casamorati Harrods wove an invisible thread through all these impressions.

Next to me stood a middle-aged man, holding his hand over one of the glass bottles. “What fragrance is that?” he asked quietly. I smiled and let the scent speak. In the base, myrrh and incense had now unfolded - deep, mystical, almost sacred. It was a moment of calm amidst the bustling activity, as if time briefly paused to celebrate this fragrance.

We talked about the history of Harrods, about the small boutiques that have been telling stories for centuries, and about the art of perfumery. The fragrance seemed to underscore everything, amplifying every emotion, as if Xerjoff himself had incorporated the architecture and light of the department store world into Casamorati Harrods.

Later, as we left the heavy doors of the building behind us, the scent lingered like a quiet shadow. In the cool night air, it mingled with the rain and the falling leaves that blew down from the trees of the park. Every breath brought a memory of the salon, of the warmth of the wood, of the blend of herbs, flowers, and resin.

Even hours later, as I walked through the empty streets of London, Casamorati Harrods remained present - not just on the skin, but in the mood, in the thoughts, in the images of the night. It was a fragrance that not only smelled but told a story: of elegance, history, luxury, and a moment that seemed frozen, only to come alive again as soon as one opened the bottle.

And I knew: Some fragrances are more than notes and essences - they are portals to other worlds, and Casamorati Harrods was one of them.

Royal Green with a Mediterranean Heart: A Harrods Exclusive that Finally Delivers Again!
Everyone in the bubble knows Harrods - the legendary department store in the heart of London that embodies elegance and extravagance. When one thinks of Harrods, it is automatically associated with the royal color "green" - and exactly in this typical Harrods green, the new Casamorati has been externally designed. The bottle looks extremely high-quality; and yes, Casamorati has managed to impress me with a few so far.

However, this one does, and I will explain why below. Let's get into it:

- In the opening, the fragrance feels like a bold spring morning in the gardens of Buckingham; fresh, green, and vibrant. The basil is distinctly noticeable and gives the scent a spicy twist, while petitgrain brings in that citrusy-herbaceous character that I also found so refreshingly cool in the "Energizer | Boadicea the Victorious." Rosemary gradually builds in the background, adding another kick of freshness and aroma; this green freshness intensifies; a slightly camphor-like scent rises, but it does not assert itself too prominently, rather it is beautifully integrated. Thus, a truly brilliant, fresh-green, slightly herbal opening.

- After that, this green is lightly loosened up by the orange blossom; slightly sweet and just a touch creamy, absolutely not overwhelming, but it balances this green beautifully on a rather woody base. However, the green never completely disappears, as the drydown is slowly initiated with the cypress, which is cool yet also has a greenish touch and beautifully expands this woody base; it captures the British, green nobility quite well in concept.

- In the drydown, the fragrance unfolds into a sublime combination of benzoin and myrrh, which has a balsamic quality and, in conjunction with the cypriol, develops a subtle smoky note gradually; it truly smells royal. An overarching veil of incense hovers, accompanying the fragrance until the very end, without the green character completely disappearing from beginning to end. Even though the drydown sounds "heavy" and not suitable for summer, I find the fragrance perfect for spring and could even imagine that due to this green, fresh character, the scent is also wearable to a certain degree in summer, almost year-round.

- I would describe the performance after a day as quite solid; the longevity is top-notch, one could rely on the fragrance from morning to evening. The projection is very good in the first few hours and actually also in the drydown, but I would describe it as very noticeable, yet absolutely not overpowering. Perfect for me.

Well, to summarize, I am really positively surprised. There are many Harrods releases that do not really convince, but this one is, after the "London Harrods Exclusive | Widian / AJ Arabia," the best for me. Not because I think the fragrance is technically an absolute non-plus-ultra, yes, the scent is of high quality, but the idea, the concept, the scent progression, and the interplay are simply bold (FINALLY AGAIN!!) and exciting!

The fragrance really combines the royal aspect of Harrods with Italian craftsmanship for me... so, definitely worth a try!

Turns sweet/spicy after a brief herbal opening.
Soapy, a bit resinous, but still somewhat fresh.
A frustrating blend; more sweet than green!

Almost forest-like, fresh-green-spicy in the opening, but appearances can be deceiving. It quickly transforms towards typical...

Smells to me like a tipped-over stew. Totally disgusting. Such a shame.

Discovered it by chance at Harrods 3 weeks ago. Of course, I had to try it right away. Super nice green notes, a successful fragrance, especially in spring.
