Noble Spicy Green
The "Casamorati - Harrods | Xerjoff" smells exactly as the bottle looks:
Noble, royal, green.
One definitely needs to appreciate green, slightly herbal and spicy scents to enjoy this one. If that is the case, then you receive a noble, balanced men's fragrance here. Nothing stands out, nothing is bothersome. Due to its rather harsh notes, I actually see the "Casamorati - Harrods | Xerjoff" only on men. I would find it strange on women: however, that is merely my subjective opinion.
At the beginning, I smell green spice, probably from basil and parsley, which remind one of medicinal or herb gardens. Cypress and orange blossoms add a lightness and floral quality to the spice, resulting in a fragrant, pleasant symbiosis that evokes spring.
The spicy base notes of myrrh and incense also contribute to the olfactory experience, even developing a slight smokiness over time that somewhat but never completely overshadows the green notes. The smoky notes are carried by cypriol, which takes on slightly woody nuances and thus perfects the association of standing in a herb garden in spring.
Personally, I feel that the "Casamorati - Harrods | Xerjoff" somehow lacks a sweet note. I could imagine that a vanilla or tonka note in the base could have made it develop a bit less herbaceous-spicy. However, this is not a demerit, as the fragrance is overall wonderfully and balancedly conceived in what it is supposed to be, namely a green men's fragrance.
