Imagine a summer perfume, but its uniqueness is the violet and the iris.

Let's be honest, you don't come across many summer scents with these notes, which makes this perfume wonderful and luxurious.

Its performance is average like many summer scents.

It is not expensive, it diversifies the collection, I recommend it.

Mefisto Gentiluomo eau de parfum it's a fougére from the Casamorati line of the Italian haute niche perfumery house Xerjoff is a citrus aromatic floral woody perfume for men; It was released in 2018.

Mefisto Gentiluomo is aclassic barber shop, the perfume is fresh and very masculine, it is a perfect blend of precious and juicy Italian citrus oils, Mediterranean lavender flowers and orris (iris) extract, mixed with precious sandalwood and cedarwood, resting on the musky ambery background.

Delicious versatile perfume perfect for scorching temperatures , a fragrance with facets: fresh and citrus, woody and floral, powdery and musky and perfectly harmonized. And with me he still has a very good performance.
A classic of Italian perfumery!

Having tried OG, I found it a bit boring albeit good smelling but somehow something was still missing. Something to set it apart or give a bit of a kick.
But here comes Gentiluomo, while having similar base, they added more florals here to give it that desired kick and lift it up which I desired in OG. While I'm not a type of person who'd wear florals, I have no issues wearing this as it still retains "masculine" base of OG.
I'm also surprised by longevity for such a fresh scent, usually I get around 7-8h with 4 sprays. I'd say it's easily wearable for 3 out of 4 seasons.
In a world of boring citruses which mostly all end smelling similar, this is a nice standout.

This perfume to my opinion is one of the best barbershop manly perfume ever created. It’s lavender, citrus and very classy. It’s done perfect and it’s well blended. Xerjoff is known for its bangers and this is certainly one of them. A must have for all gentlemen! It’s a great office scent and also for the summer. But if you ask me you can use it in a daily bases. Also strong and long lasting!

This one is a must have staple in my summer collection. I have a small but fine collection where I limit myself to only own 6 fragrances for summer and 6 for winter for a total of 12 fragrances:
2 for going out/evenings,
2 for office/work/formal
2 for casual/daily wear.
Each for summer and winter.

The original Mefisto is already amazing but gives a rather floral and unisex vibe. This one takes the very same DNA (around 70% identical) and gives it a much more masculine touch.

As a fragrance lover, i much more lean towards freshies as my preference. I love the Aventuses, LV Imaginations, Xerjoff Renaissance or PdM Greenley's of this world. Freshies however usually have the same vibe: citrussy, orangy and fresh. This Mefisto here is different. It has a fresh Fougere aura to it, especially in the opening. Its perfect for the summer but adds a very pleasant powdery touch to it in the drydown. As the name suggest, its very gentlemanly and does smell expensive or luxurious. I have this as my Office fragrance next to Terre d'Hermes. The latter is the classical office freshie, very formal, elegant and slightly edgy. Mefisto on the other hand is soft, powdery while still having a fougere DNA. This makes Mefisto Gentiluommo hyper unique in my collection. I will make sure I always have a bottle around :)
