A Quite Beautiful DNA, but I Miss Some Performance
Deep Water has an aquatic, fresh flair that can mentally transport you to vacation.
Imagine a holiday in Italy on a wonderful coast. Nearby are beautiful flowers that match the overall picture perfectly and also emit a certain scent. On top of that, you pull out your snack consisting of various fruits from your bag. That’s roughly what Deep Water by Claudio Zucca is like.
The fragrance starts off aquatic and fresh with very subtle salty hints, as well as fruity accents. The mention of salt should not "scare" anyone away. There are indeed some people who do not like salty scents at all. Colleagues like Acqua di Sale or Salaria do not fare well in that regard. Personally, I like it, but there are certainly some who do not. However, Deep Water is not like that. It has subtle hints of salt but is by no means a salty fragrance.
The fruity elements also come through really well.
In Cereal Break, which one would expect something different from, this was already the case.
Perhaps the fruity elements are like a common thread that runs through the Claudio Zucca fragrances. I will test this further.
In addition to the aquatic, fresh, and fruity impressions, there is also a subtle floral impression. The floral facets are very understated and only accompany the remaining notes. It is by no means a floral fragrance.
Towards the end, it becomes slightly sweet and woody. The freshness is no longer recognizable to me, and the fruity side is still very subtle.
Overall, I would actually define this fragrance more as a companion. It is not a scent that is greatly noticed, whether by others or by oneself.
I would not classify the performance as really good.
I have seen that it has been rated as good in that area so far.
I have worn the fragrance regularly now, whether at work or privately, and in various weather conditions.
On my skin, the scent simply does not want to work.
It does not last long for an extrait, and the sillage is, like with Cereal Break, alarmingly weak for me.
The people around me could also not really perceive the scent, even after about ten sprays.
However, the DNA is still beautiful and I quite like it.
Moreover, the fragrance is wonderfully unisex wearable.
