Un accord de vanille et de tonka parfait

Ayant été très mitigé, sachant que le parfait était très "hype" sur le marché français de par les influenceurs, j'ai mis du temps avant de me décider à aller le sentir.

Ma première impression ne m'a pas plus, c'était beaucoup trop poivré pour moi. Je n'étais pas parti sentir uniquement ce parfum et j'ai laissé le parfum de côté une heure évoluer. Au bout d'une heure, ce parfum qui était fort poivré, limite trop classique, a su me montrer son côté crémeux avec l'iris qui est qualitative, puis vient la vanille et tonka qui en font un parfum parfait pour moi.

Je ne partais pas positif mais à bien sentir une fois évolué pour se faire un réel avis sur chef d'oeuvre, méritant finalement sa hype.

A sexy caress from a bad boy

Love at first sniff. This, to me is the fragrant embodiment of a caress and embrace from a sexy, but badass person. My very favorite note of all time, frankincense, mingles with cinnamon and black pepper plus warm vanilla. But it's the multifaceted Tonka bean that really brings you that warm, spicy feeling of skin to skin closeness. I get a very prominent leather note from this with my skin chemistry. Sometimes suede-esque, other times like a well with bomber jacket with by a hunky 80s/90s bad boy.

As it dries down it gets a bit powdery and softer, the Iris and muguet - but to me this isn't overtly floral, they're there as supporting cast.

The Tonka shifts and reshapes, sometimes displaying cherry and almond like facets, other times more of a tobacco feel. It's really quite delicious and divinely sexy.

Powerful Powder

This one is creamy and very vanilla forward with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. It is spicy and delicious but damn this is strong. It has an amost unique depth and warmth to it, but is a bit too powdery for my taste. It easily fills up an enitre room with its presence, and while it is hyptnotizing it is also a bit too powerful.

Like you are baking gingerbread cookies and have added way too much spices and when you bite into the dry cookie your mouth is drying up and reaching for a glass of cold milk, but instead you get a sweet condenced one, or maybe a glass of eggnog?

Unfortunately, the tonka is not as prominent as you would expect given its name. All that aside, it is a great fall and winter fragrance, and absolutely unisex.

Tonka Hysteria

When I am asked in a perfume shop which scents I like, the word "vanilla" always comes up. However, at the same time, I always want to move a bit away from pure vanilla scents to bring diversity into my collection.
When I found myself in this situation again in a small perfume shop in Valencia, a nice salesperson recommended Tonka Hysteria to me. It had been on my wish list for a few weeks but had somewhat slipped my mind.
I held the test strip to my nose and... WOW!
This scent definitely contains my beloved vanilla, but it is far from the "typical" vanilla gourmands that are now piling up in my collection. Tonka Hysteria is absolutely unique. I find the notes a bit misleading, as hardly any note stands out specifically. All the notes blend perfectly into an incredibly radiant, warm, spicy incense-tonka-vanilla cloud. The incense perfectly fulfills its role and creates endless depth, which is lovingly warm but by no means (too) sweet.
Since a small decant is all I have of this scent so far, I only spray a little on my wrist from time to time to enjoy this tonka dream. But even that is enough to perceive the scent for at least 10 hours on the skin and even receive compliments from strangers (A woman passed me while I was walking, interrupted her phone call, and said to me: "You smell FANTASTIC!").
Since I first smelled this fragrance, I have felt enormous "Tonka Hysteria" and hardly spend a day without thinking that I might just strike while the iron is hot and welcome this treasure into my collection. The effect this scent has on me truly lives up to its name.

Warmest recommendations go especially to those who are looking for a fragrance that creates a warm-sweet scent cloud without actually being sweet. The perfect autumn and winter scent for both men and women - I want to meet more people who smell like this!
