Iris is really not my thing ... or is it?

Many perfumes that I really don't like have Iris listed in their notes. Therefore, it was clear to me: Iris and I, we will not be friends. Nevertheless, I watched the stream because I was fascinated by this project and the people behind it, who were so passionate about it. A sudden impulse struck me, and I knew: I will buy one of these fragrances.
But which one? So I wrote in the chat: "If you don't actually like Iris in fragrances, ..." I was answered quite confidently in the chat and advised against Iris Altesse. The Poulsard was recommended to me. Still ... one has their own mind. I just wanted to know and ordered Iris Altesse based on an inner feeling.
I love this scent. I like the sparkling quality in it, and once you understand that the scent of Iris is not found in the bloom, you begin to perceive and appreciate this Iris scent in a completely different way. I can smell it on me for a long time, and sometimes I catch a whiff of the fragrance even though I haven't sprayed it at all. Everything fits together here, and you hold a little treasure in your hands with this scent. Passion in a bottle ...

Lustrous Floral Play Between Everyday and Elegance

I must preface that I am also an admirer of the brand's founder - and yet it was important for me to approach Altesse not just through this lens, but to encounter the fragrance as neutrally as possible. I treated myself to a larger bottle, applied it until the last drop, and observed it attentively. How do the scent and performance unfold?

The in-house description "floral and sparkling" captures the character of Altesse very well for me. It possesses an elegant, chic aura, yet does not come across as aloof or unapproachable. Instead, the fragrance reveals itself to be surprisingly versatile: a companion that is suitable for both everyday wear and more festive occasions, without feeling out of place. It is not a pure iris scent, but rather an engaging floral play that develops on my skin and remains perceptible for at least 5 hours.

In the end, Altesse has convinced me, and I will secure my own bottle. However, due to its rather ambitious price, it will probably only be unwrapped under the Christmas tree.

How to Transform Everyday Drab into Aura Nobility..

I had the opportunity to test Altesse about two weeks ago. The enormous quality struck me, just like with the other two, right from the first spray! I found it phenomenally good; but my heart immediately belonged to Trousseau! I ordered the latter, and when it arrived, I was truly overwhelmed by the packaging. I mean this seriously - nothing has seemed so extremely high-quality to me until now. (In my review of Trousseau, I already addressed the packaging).
That same day, I realized that I also needed Altesse! Such a high-quality, noble, and limited perfume is not something you see and smell every day. I wanted to own it - you know how it is. I ordered it, and it arrived today - during my lunch break.
I carefully opened the pretty silk paper, smelled the included piece of iris rhizome, and immediately sprayed 3 or 4 spritzes on myself. On the nape of my neck, in my hair, on my wrist, and on my blouse. By the way, the fine sprayer lasts forever!! Absolutely incredible.

I was running late during my break. However, I had to indulge in the fragrance. And what happened?! I was overwhelmed and paused for a moment. Why does this scent suddenly touch me so deeply?! The fine iris powderiness enveloped me like a light purple veil. From the tips of my hair all over my body. Like a transformation. The mood of my lunch break suddenly shifted to positivity, radiant nobility, and balance. Yes, really, these are all feelings that came to mind immediately.

The iris here is less powdery; rather, it provides a finely powdered base. The main roles are clearly played by delicate, filigree flowers and a radiant, light yellow orange blossom. You can clearly notice a fine floral quality, but you can't pinpoint a specific flower because everything is softly intertwined.
The entire iris floral sea feels very friendly, cheerful, and modern. It smells classic due to the iris, yet remains very modern.
The scent has enveloped me in an incredibly beautiful aura. Uniquely elegant and positive.
And I must now say that it is on par with my beloved Trousseau. Wearing it today was simply heavenly and made me feel very confident.
There are just good fragrances, and then there are fragrances where you realize how perfectly you smell.

I perceived the scent on me all afternoon and was even approached by a patient at work. He wanted to smell it on my wrist twice. “Wow, this is really amazing”!
In my hair, it lasted well over twelve hours.

By the way, after my lunch break, I walked out of the driveway whistling - a transformation. I love it!
