A lot of animalism
Many thanks to Nick for the bottling of Oud Sultani 1975 :-) This is a very animalic oud fragrance that really packs a punch. The longevity is really great at around 24 hours and the sillage is also quite effervescent so far.
The top note starts off very animalic thanks to Bibergeil. The heart note is quite oriental and smells of oud on the one hand, but also floral with roses, iris, violets and a hint of jasmine blossom on the other. Oud then takes over in the base, giving it a very woody, spicy, resinous, earthy and leathery scent. It remains animalic in the background thanks to musk with a sweetness and some bourbon vanilla.
I think a few weeks ago I would have found this kind of fragrance pretty bad, but I seem to be slowly getting used to Ensar Oud's scents.
