There is a kind of beauty……
…….that transcends “personal preference”…..a beauty that must be clearly acknowledged, even if it does not match personal taste…..
And I think this is perhaps the greatest compliment one can give to a perfumer…….
MALACHITGRAU is such a fragrance for me…….
It is incredibly subtle and exquisitely composed, and I have not smelled anything like it a thousand times before…….
The scent begins with an exceptionally beautiful citrus-fresh-spicy note, which soon settles on soft, lush green moss and dew-fresh vetiver…….
I can hardly perceive the iris in isolation…..but I do notice a wonderfully aromatic-earthy rootiness…
A misty, delicately smoky aspect is also undeniable…..
I would describe the overall impression of the fragrance as warm, rather dry, and earthy-woodsy…..
In contrast to many other fragrances that claim the theme of “authentic nature” and then end up smelling like a freshly disinfected artificial palm or simply undefined, dull, and unrefined, MALACHITGRAU succeeds remarkably well in convincingly capturing the forest or nature theme……
Personally, the fragrance becomes a bit too woody and too masculine for me over time……but this absolutely does not change the fact that here a superb fragrance has seen the light of day……

I find it interesting to smell masterpieces, even if I wouldn't necessarily wear them.
And a beginner in perfumes couldn't receive a greater compliment... Susan, I tip my hat to these lines... just as wonderful as the scent.
Although, a malachite is naturally green *know-it-all* :-D
