More than just a champagne mood
Before Christmas, my souk finger was particularly loose, and so a used bottle of Dom Rosa - Eau Sanguine ended up in my home as a blind buy. The fragrance seemed to me to be the perfect birthday present for my prosecco-loving friend Carmen, if only the longevity and silage were a little better. In the next champagne mood - and let's be honest, if not before Christmas, when else are we supposed to store in a champagne mood - the Dom Rosa Millésimé also ended up in my shopping basket and in my home.
You've already guessed it, dear Carmen prefers oriental fragrances anyway and the 100 ml bottle, which is quite large, ended up in my collection. And apart from my tight Christmas budget, I have no regrets at all! What Sonia Constant has concocted here is nothing less than a small work of art.
The top notes of champagne, grapefruit and pear are a fruity, sparkling delight. Champagne can smell a lot like apple or cellar mustiness. Here we are dealing with a fruity Prosecco that exudes exactly this mood of exuberance and enjoyment. Invigorating, witty, funny, charming - that's exactly how I want to feel as a party guest.
But then this beautiful Damask rose makes an appearance. In combination with the incense, it creates a mysterious beauty with depth. A few woody notes accentuate the rose and linger.
All in all, it is much more than a party fragrance, as the name might suggest. for me, Dom Rosa Millésimé is sophistication, to use an Anglicism that means more than the Google translation sophistication. Sophistication means elegance, refinement, wit, intellect, charm. You can get all this with a few sprays on your wrists!
What is the difference to the original Dom Rosa - Eau Sanguine? None in terms of fragrance character, it's just a stronger version that lasts for over 8 hours and has a very nice, if by no means beastly, silage. The original is fine and private, so it can be worn on many occasions, even if not at work, because anything reminiscent of alcohol is simply not suitable, at least in my job description. The Millésime, however, is something for appearances when you want to be noticed, all year round. Both are currently in my collection, but I haven't yet decided whether I want to pass one of them on or bottle it.
