Soft like a cat's fur belly

This one is really weird and hard to describe, I have a sample for like over a year, and I have been using it from time to time and each one led me to the same conclusion.
I like this one very much but I get puzzled each time I try to understand the component. Soft but spicy, fresh, with the slight citrus note but also a bit softly heavy (oxymora !).
It actually smell like my cat or the cashmere scarf I stole years ago from my dad. It has this addictive animal touch that make it really likeable.
I'm puzzled but I cannot contest that I really enjoy wearing it, I would love to have a 10ml decant, not sure would finish the 50ml as I have many other perfume to finish. Maybe if I could convince my boyfriend to wear it with me (and I would literally purr on this lap, sniffing him)

Unexpected

I'm telling the truth: I didn't expect it. I didn't expect a fragrance that, through its evolution, would describe a situation so perfectly. The fresh, impactful, spicy opening catapults us into what the thrill is before uniting, mentally and physically, with the other person; the evolution, animalic, intimate, leads us back to the passionate act, in all its physicality: we perceive the smell of the skin, its taste, all through a very wise agreement of notes.
Beautiful . I really liked it a lot. To be worn with conscience, knowing the message that we want to convey through this perfume: the meeting between two lovers, emotion and passion, like two currents that meet in a single river: that of love.

The River of Tender Souls

Love is an elusive energy. It cannot be measured. Love is found in many things that surround us. There are people who walk through love without recognizing it, or there are those who can even perceive love in the air, or rather, in a perfume. Fleuve Tendre by Les Liquides Imaginaires is such a perfume. It was created with the highest dose of love that I have sensed in a fragrance for a long time. We do not know in what stage of love Sonia Constant was when she created Fleuve Tendre. Whether it was a new love, the birth of a child, or the love for a beloved partner. This scent has something reverent and pure about it. It contains an indescribable amount of emotional tenderness and passion. To me, it feels astonishingly pure and unblemished. I, who am the right hand of the devil when it comes to fragrances, am almost frightened by the purity and tenderness that this scent radiates. It feels to me like holy water. It is as if it drives out evil from every soul. Breathtakingly beautiful and bright. Yes!... this scent is a river. A river that cannot be crossed easily without being swept away. It takes you on its journey through tenderness and passion. It is hard not to like Fleuve Tendre, very hard indeed. This scent is a liquid, benevolent smile. A tender touch or a soothing whisper.

I do not want, cannot, and will not dissect this fragrance into its components today. It is too beautiful for me to do so. Love cannot be dissected either. Everyone can form an opinion based on the notes whether Fleuve Tendre corresponds to their idea of tenderness and love. For me, it does! Those who read the fragrance pyramid will be surprised that this scent can feel so pure. It is a mystery to me as well.

I should also mention that this tender river does not only flow on the skin. It flows much deeper than one might think. It flows directly through your soul and your heart. And it does not care whether you are a woman or a man.

Fleuve Tendre by Les Liquides Imaginaires is, for me, the purest form of tenderness.

Emotional Waters

It has now been exactly one year. Back then, I did something I had never done before and probably wouldn't repeat. On that first of April (and this is not an April Fool's story), I entered my favorite perfumery for the last time. By chance, I learned on Parfumo that Schnitzler in Sevens in Düsseldorf is closing its doors forever at the owner's request: Douglas.

No one has been able to convincingly explain to me why this step was taken. The fact is that the clearance sale had already been underway for several days, and the shelves looked plundered. Of course - there were significant discounts, and the high-priced Xerjoff and Roja Dove perfumes were prudently moved to the still-existing store a few hundred meters away.

To get straight to the point about Fleuve Tendre: despite my surprise and sadness, I wanted to at least snag a few deals and carefully searched among the bottles for suitable treasures. In the end, after much back and forth, I had three fragrances in my basket that I simply couldn't leave behind at up to 50% off.

There wasn't much left - and hardly any testers, but I already knew the JHL from Aramis and wanted to own it again after many years. Oud Delice from Piguet was unfamiliar to me, but I trust the brand, and the reviews on Parfumo sounded convincing. However, it was different with Fleuve Tendre. While I was quite familiar with Liquides Imaginaires, as I found their Fortis to be a brilliantly crafted twin of Black Afgano, the descriptions of this fragrance were somehow contradictory and thus confusing. I liked the emotional lines from Can the most. So, Fleuve Tendre made it into my basket after all, and I acquired three fragrances, two of which were absolutely blind purchases under the motto "No risk, no fun."

I left the sealed packaging unopened for a long time, hoping that I could check it out as a tester in some other perfumery to better sell or exchange it if I didn't like it. Even the stores that carried Liquides Imaginaires unfortunately didn't have this one, let alone as a tester. And even on Parfumo, there were no decants available in the Souk.

At some point, my curiosity became too great, and I had to know what this tender river was all about. The blue coloring already suggests that this fragrance is fresh. And the first spray confirms this suspicion, although slightly bitter notes act in the background, reminiscent of hairspray.
A few spritzes of mandarin and very delicate floral nuances weave through. Rose water as an ingredient is already a gentle hint that everything here is rather understated.

Diving a little deeper into the matter, the subtle animalic or leathery nuances come to the fore. However, I can't perceive civet. Many of the other listed ingredients, except for musk, only appear rather faintly.

Fleuve Tendre is indeed like a small tender river, more of a brook than a stream, rather leisurely slow, quiet, shallow, and flowing clearly. Here, one can wonderfully relax, watch the drifting mandarins and flower petals, and enjoy nature.

A few more words about the bottle: the small included fabric pouch with the sewn-on logo of Liquides Imaginaires is delightful. It allows the bottle to be beautifully covered and protected while traveling. I am less fond of the rather loosely fitting cap. While it is beautifully made of metal, it clicks anything but nicely onto the sprayer.
