Lux in tenebris ... light in the darkness ... نور في العتمة
An angel named Evil... walks on the edge of a sword between sweetness and ash.
Evil Angel is not a "beautiful" fragrance in the simple sense; it is a contrasting experience: a dark, sweet temptation, an alcoholic warmth that touches the skin, and smoke that wafts from afar as if it were the shadow of a wing belonging to a being of both light and darkness.
Lorenzo Pazzaglia has combined in this devilish angel a boozy and gourmand character with a woody-smoky and resinous breath, creating a dark, festive mood that is elegant yet mischievous. Although marketed as a unisex fragrance, it leans towards masculine scents with its stability and sharpness.
Evil Angel opens with a clean alcoholic burst (more reminiscent of rum or whiskey), accompanied by burnt candy over a gentle flame: brown sugar touching the edge of charred caramel.
There are light citric hints present, but their role is to "sharpen" the sweetness to prevent it from collapsing.
The heart of the angel beats with a dense vanilla, but not the creamy vanilla that clings to spoons; rather, it is closer to a dark vanilla saturated with resin.
A thread of cocoa runs through it with warm spices (cinnamon/nutmeg with a touch of pink pepper).
Here, the smoky shadow appears lightly, giving a delicate "leathery" edge.
It then settles into deep woods (such as cedar and sandalwood) with resinous amber and a hint of benzoin that enhances the character of burnt candy.
The alcoholic bridges remain smooth, transforming from a loud glass to a warm sensation in the throat.
Performance...
Longevity: High to very high (easily 8–10 hours on most skin types).
Sillage (first two hours): Strong, a noticeable aura that enters before the wearer.
After that, the sillage settles into a stable medium aura.
Projection: An extended scent trail, especially in enclosed spaces and cold weather.
Change with temperature...
In the cold, the boozy and smoky aspects shine, becoming elegant and velvety.
In the heat, the sweetness and resin become pronounced, potentially becoming "heavy."
The optimal time is autumn and winter, with cool spring evenings, primarily at night.
Suitable for formal dinners, luxurious meetings, and special soirées; less appropriate for morning offices.
It looks very lovely when worn with black/dark colors, a leather jacket, or soft wool, as this fragrance pairs well with heavy materials.
If you, dear reader, enjoy dark caramel fragrances with soft alcohol and a smoky touch, and can handle a controlled sweetness, this is your playground.
It’s best to try it on your skin before making a purchase.
Evil Angel is an angel wearing a midnight suit: a glass of rum in one hand and a burnt sugar cube in the other.
Sweet… but mischievous, warm… but with an intelligent smoky shadow.
A successful choice for winter and for lovers of contrasts.

Boozy freshness
The brand Lorenzo Pazzaglia has fascinated me for quite some time, not least because of the many creative summer fragrances like Sun-Gria or Pax. The Evil Angel 28.09 particularly caught my attention due to its fragrance pyramid. The combination of fresh mint with citrus and an alcoholic note from the whiskey sounded very exciting. Thus, I ended up acquiring a decant of the fragrance.

After the first spray, I got gum vibes reminiscent of Wrigley's Spearmint, but in an absolutely positive sense. The mint is present throughout the entire fragrance journey, transforming from fresh at the beginning to pleasantly sweet in the later stages. Thanks to the boozy whiskey, I find the fragrance to be very versatile and suitable for all occasions from spring to autumn.

In summary, a very special fragrance that knows how to please and is also well-crafted in terms of quality. This definitely makes me eager for more impressions from the house of Pazzaglia.

Interesting citrus/mint opening, after 45 minutes becomes a coconutty Erba clone. Good alternative, but overpriced as it is derivative.

After a fresh and herbal citric-fruity opening, this warm and boozy spicy-woody fragrance, settles on a sweet and musky spicy-woody base.

Fruity at first, with a drydown of SideEffect bubblegum. Good longevity.

Starts minty, then fruity but really, almost like a tropical cocktail, a bit too sweet and somewhat synthetic, but for those who like that...

Fruit punch with a twist! I’ve been to the Dominican Republic often, and this welcome drink is sacred, now with devilish ingredients.
