Old Swede, you'll take up an entire concert hall with that.
So one thing first. I've often read that it's supposed to be a relatively basic fragrance. So really, what else is this fragrance supposed to do to you? I think you only smelled it briefly at the Gebauer store, didn't you?
To be honest, I don't really like the opening at first. But after 5 minutes, the journey begins. I can imagine what is meant by "iron", but iron doesn't have a smell at first. It's an absolutely wild mixture that I've never experienced before. I definitely get a few notes in my heart that I know from Amberlievable (also by Luca Maffei), but also a citric that doesn't come across as fresh as you might think. The citric also disappears relatively quickly. This is followed by a soapiness that lasts for 1-2 hours until the amber and spices come to the fore. I don't get any oud at all and I can't understand the comparison to Oud for Greatness Eau de Parfum.
The longevity is really incredible. I applied the fragrance this morning around 10 a.m. and now, shortly before 9 p.m., I can still detect the scent permanently.
When I walk through the house, my wife says that the whole house smells like me, but I only applied 4 sprays. Use really carefully!
As a man, I really like the scent, but I have to say that my wife thinks it's the worst perfume in my collection. She hates the scent abysmally. She told me that she was once in a theater where a man sat next to her who smelled just like the perfume and ruined her whole evening. But I can totally understand the association with an old man, I got the same vibe from Amberlievable.
If there's one thing this fragrance isn't, it's a crowd pleaser. You definitely need personality for this fragrance. If you are under 25 years old, don't even think about buying this fragrance!
