Incredibly beautiful blend!

Wow, Matiere Premiere has outdone itself with Falcon Leather.

I have a few leather scents in the collection but none have captivated me as much as this one.

In the beginning dominates quite clearly the leather note with the saffron,but not intrusive.
In the course of the fragrance, the leather note goes a bit into the backround and it unfolds a beautiful Warm fragrance that is completely its own.

I am absolutely in love with the fragrance, it lasts and lasts and is space engaging but that never intrusive! Sahnt many compliments ab.

Once again a great fragrance from Matiere Premiere.

Seductive elegant leather dream

With Falcon Leather Matière Première has succeeded in creating a wonderful leather fragrance that has absolutely fascinated me.
Fruit chords or a dissolute sweetness, with which one is confronted with some other well-known leather creation, one looks here in vain.

What makes Falcon Leather above all is that the dominant, breathtakingly beautiful leather note in the course of the fragrance is increasingly framed by the creaminess of benzoin, without losing its potent fragrance character or drifting into an overwhelming sweetness.

You should definitely not be put off by the "animalic" suggested by the name, because the fragrance remains for me, especially in the colder months, an absolutely versatile wearable fragrance that is elegant and seductive at the same time.

The durability is, who would be surprised at Matière Première, just great and the sillage is extreme in the first hours and is somewhat tamed after a few hours, but remains at all times in the environment perceptible.

For leather fans an absolute treat!

With Falcon Leather Eau de Parfum, Martiere Premiere has created a fragrance like no other, a fragrance that is as unique as a signature, instantly recognizable and, despite its rough, dense and intense nature, can be described as unisex. Leather, smoke, resinous spice - unisex? Yes, but so unisex! Let me try to explain briefly.

The reason for the unisex categorization is simple: similar to masterpieces such as Xerjoff's Alexandria II Eau de Parfum, Parfums de Marly's Haltane Eau de Parfum or Initios Oud for Greatness Eau de Parfum, Falcon Leather is a fragrance that is characterized by its incredibly harmonious integration of its individual fragrance notes, just as it should be the case with the aforementioned fragrances and generally with high-quality perfumes. A bomb of an opening - fresh, slightly green, aromatic saffron! - is followed by ambery-creamy birch tar, which immediately exudes its warm, smoky and seductive charm and dominates for quite a while before labdanum and Siam benzoin absolute join in and turn the fragrance into a true masterpiece in the drydown that deserves the title. No single note stands out as unpleasantly harsh or unsorted, nothing is annoying here, everything is well-rounded, despite (or perhaps because of?!) the beguiling roughness and intensity of the fragrance. When roughness and intensity come together in such a bold way and yet do not overload the fragrance, then you are dealing with the highest art of perfumery. Chapeau, Aurelien Guichard.

H/S are to the point, not penetrating, but also anything but weak.
Conclusion: 9/10

P.S.: I initially got to know the fragrance through a sample quite a while ago and ABSOLUTELY did NOT like it. I found it far too strong, smoky and spicy. So I dare you to give your noses time to get used to the fragrance and learn to appreciate it - it's well worth it!

Madness

The opening is awesome. Resinous/leathery and rough. As it progresses, everything becomes smooth and you can smell an incredibly beautiful leather. The durability and silage are typical Matiere Premier absolutely TOP! No matter which fragrance from the brand, H/S is always convincing. Everyone has to come to terms with the fragrances themselves. But you can't say anything against H/S.
The Falcon Leather is one of my favorites from the company and is also one of my favorites in general.
For me, the leather scent is currently not comparable to any other I know.
Fragrance progression is not so complex rather linear but very good.
Every leather fan must have smelled it!

Likeable Leather

A leather fragrance that works without a leather jacket?

To get straight to the point: Yes, that's exactly what it is! But I have to be honest and say that I'm not the biggest fan of leather fragrances in which the leather accord smells like a new car seat. For me, they really only work in combination with a leather jacket...

But the Falcon Leather is something completely different. It's no surprise, as the leather impression is created by the birch tar and resins. In addition to the subtle leathery note, there is also a pleasant smokiness. And yes, the emphasis here is on pleasant, because I don't get the ashtray or the Easter fire here, but simply a subtle, warm and soothing note.

The saffron really makes the fragrance a well-rounded masterpiece. It brings a beautiful spiciness and at the same time a fine sweetness that comes into its own especially in the dry-down. Admittedly, I find the saffron a bit pungent in the first 20 minutes, but if you give it a short time, it develops really well. The leather note remains in the dry-down and a little woodiness joins in.

And what amazed me is that the fragrance is super clean and tidy despite the warm notes. Of course, this doesn't make it a classic freshie, but it's super suitable for everyday use and, when dosed sensibly, also a good fragrance for the office.

Performance is top, by the way! Lasts all day on the skin and on clothing for at least 2 days and is also perceptible the whole time. Of course, you can expect that for the price. I would recommend it for anyone over 20 and it can definitely be worn from fall to spring. In summer, I would rather go for a citrusy freshie for everyday wear. I regret having only bought 50 ml...
