Summer 2023 in France
I first smelled this fragrance in Hamburg in April 2023. I liked it there, but somehow it wasn't worth the money.
Later, it must have been around mid-May, I still didn't have a "real" summer fragrance, which is why I bought Kedu after all.
When we went on vacation for 14 days (Brittany; France), about 20-25 degrees every day, it was the only fragrance I wore there. This mixture of interesting citrus notes (especially the freesia makes the top note even more interesting) and the later development of very present tea and light sesame was just right for me. Somehow, it perfectly captured the vibe that prevails in this region. Of course, it's not a machine in terms of longevity (I usually sprayed it once after 3-4 hours), but it's still somehow present without being overpowering. It was just right for me on this summer vacation because it's not just citrusy or aquatic. This tea and sesame touch made it somehow special, just like Brittany is not just so and so, but very versatile I loved wearing it and ordered a new bottle a few weeks ago to rock it again this summer!
Only small flaw, find it quite expensive for the ml quantity and the type of fragrance. I still like it though.

Multidimensional Sesame
That one meets sesame so rarely in perfumes surprises me somewhat, this plant is nevertheless already so long central part of various cultures, be it in the Mediterranean area or in the oriental area, which are and were either even scent affine, or which one represents in the west gladly as longing place (also in perfumes).
I still remember how I smelled the sample for the first time and me this rarely used fragrance immediately grabbed, because you just know it from other areas, but at the same time it is not prominent in everyday life and thus remains intressant.

The top note is from the tangy sour, grapefruit and neroli get here a milky component, which somehow makes you think of lemon ice cream. Mandarin presents exclusively their flesh, peeled and meticulously freed from white skin residues. Mixed with a bright, cheerful floral, fresias and iris are rather dominant here, the rose is perceptible, but far from that the fragrance could gain in heaviness.

The whole thing is so composed that you could almost think of sunscreen (a good one), if sesame would not overshadow the whole course, its properties would not root into the tips of the top note. So the above impressions blend with the following right from the start, at the same time Sesame's scent is wonderfully delineable and stand alone. And this is really authentic, the roasted aromas unfold more and more in the course of the fragrance, while just the bitter creamy and nutty smell, as well as an absolutely dry inkling at the beginning prevails. Whereby with creamy is not to think of sticky sesame paste, but of something much lighter, more of the consistency that you might know from milk foam.
The scent progression shimmies from the gentle disappearance of the top notes named above, (with the floral quite possibly outlasting the heart notes, the floral creamy foreboding lingering throughout) to then turn quite focused on the development of the sesame. This is wonderfully transformed from the creamy, oily form above to a light, toasted and ground form. As a result it becomes milder, taking on something of warm dry air. I can't help but think of warm fine sand blown by the wind.

For me, the fragrance moves somewhere between a gourmand with floral and creamy and dry hints and one in the coarser sense oriental.

Durability and sillage are somewhat low. Although when testing it becomes clear that this is not to be a klotzer, something more could already be, so that the fragrance is also perceived.
Me has made this perfume rattenscharf on the fragrance Sesame, I will keep my eyes open for such fragrances in the future. Only this one won't be, although it is well constructed, as the perfume as a whole is not enough for me to buy at the price.

Thank you so much for reading my comment

Sesame, (er)close!
Sesame as an ingredient in perfumes is indeed very unusual and only in recent years has its use increased. No matter if as a normal sesame note, as roasted or black sesame, as sesame paste or as Sesame Absolue as in Memo. I think there might be more to come in the near future, although I don't think that this plant seed will cause as much hype olfactorically as oud or leather did at the time. As a selenium-rich food it is very popular especially in the gustoric sense and personally I appreciate it as well as some of my prescribers in all variations.

But here in Kedu it seems to me somehow out of place. What you should not do in any case is to hold your nose too close to the moistened area directly after spraying. One should never do that anyway, but one is curious. And here Kedu looks extremely bulky, difficult and unattractive synthetic.

If you spray it on your carotid artery instead, the fragrance can unfold to the nose in an exemplary manner, as the perfumer probably thought. Especially grapefruit and a little neroli are a welcome addition to the sparkling fragrance. Officially, Kedu has no top note, but I think that the first few seconds are relatively unlucky, when sesame and mate are still too much in charge and the whole creation seems rather strict
Luckily, the course then goes more towards grapefruit, which makes the scent far more refreshing and fruity or light-footed, but you wonder if you wouldn't be better off with a pure grapefruit scent. On the other hand, sesame and mate make kedu something extraordinary, setting new accents and merging into a creative eccentric that is second to none. Gustorically it may fit well, but olfactorically I have my doubts. Above all, when the floral part of Freesie and Rose comes up, I'm personally out.

Although I have to admit that the composition was definitely not an easy one and that paths were taken that not necessarily everyone would follow, I have doubts from beginning to end as to whether the ingredients really fit together so well.

For grapefruit groupies who already have everything on the topic, it could be a nice niche alternative. Maybe sesame addicts would also enjoy it, but I don't know about this scent.
