Passion Island Mes Bisous 2024

Passion Island opens with its namesake passionfruit, a creamy bright zingy interpretation. The other fruits and citruses are there just to smooth out and support this accord. It might be a bit too smooth, verging on smelling cheap, like a shower gel or hand lotion. The drydown is mostly musky which reminds me a bit of Erba Pura but doesn't have that headache-inducing screechiness. Performance isn't great, projection stops after about 2 or 3 hours. For a tropical fragrance with meh performance I'd rather have Tales from Zanzibar. But this one isn't bad, especially if you really like passionfruit.

If you're in search for a truly fruity fragrence, this might be the one for you. It has a sweet and tropical foundation not disimilar to fruitpunch or a passionfruit cocktail. I personally pick up mainly on the pineapple and passionfruit notes. It's almost photorealistic in a way, truly smells like a tropical juice mix with a hint of pepper and and wood notes to help balance it out. This is probabaly the "juiciest" fragrence i've smelled so far. This might not be the most complex or "fragrence" smelling fragrence, but if you wanna smell like you sprayed yourself with a delicious tropical cocktail mix, then this is perfect.

Mes Bisous Passion Island is my new scent obsession and it isn’t hard to see why. As soon as I spray it, I’m met with a punch of luscious, loud, fruity notes right out of a tropical island paradise. I find it to be a bright, fun and an irresistible vacation vibe type of scent that makes me want to swing in my hammock in the evening with a coconut in hand.

Three hours later, it is still going strong, although somewhat softened. The sillage is about an arms length, if I’m being kind. It isn’t a room filler at this point, but it doesn’t need to be, it’s like a discovered treasure chest charming anyone close enough to get a whiff.

Then comes the dry down and it is a treat, like the rest of it. The fruity opulence becomes a smooth, creamy whisper. At this point I can detect traces of musk, amber and vanilla weaving through with that luscious tropical vibe just barely peeking out every now and then. It is gentle at this point, almost velvety and it reminds me of a warm summer breeze at sunset. The dry down is even a hint therapeutic for me, to be honest. Like most perfumes, this is where Passion Island shines—soft, milky (not lactonic), and comforting.

This is like a piece of island paradise that starts with a loud bang and winds down to a satisfying sigh. If you like scents that evolve from lively to lovely, you will definitely want to give this beauty a try.

PS: At six hours it is still very much present causing me to change my longevity score. I expect this now to probably last at least 9 hours on my skin. I usually do not spritz my clothing. Another angle that affects longevity and sillage is moisturization of your skin. I do hydrate before spritzing, using a daily moisturizing body lotion that is fragrance free and proven to moisturize for 24 hours…moisturization is key to longevity and sillage, I think.

This is my first review on Souk after 2 and half years in the fragrance world. I don´t usually have many time to write this kind of big texts but i fell this one deserves it.
You know...when you try so many things at a certain point is hard to smell something surprising. Passion Island was for me the best surprise i have got in a long time, instant love.
It is a perfect scent for warm days, when you go to the beach or hang out with friends. Smells like a fruity cocktail with prominent notes of Mango and Passion Fruit, very juicy and sweet. If you like something as God of Fire, this is definitely a safe purchase.

A short statement is not enough for my impression.

I was worried that this scent might once again be a fruit basket of spoiled fruits.
But finally, this citrus note in the opening sets this fragrance apart from the others.

Not a sweet medley.

No, a delicious fruit cocktail is what I get. The passion fruit, pineapple, and mango harmonize wonderfully.

Imagine a Sunplosion - Aloha State of Mind with delicious lemon/lime.

Anyone looking for a fresher "Erba Pura | XerJoff" might find it appealing.

Longevity is good at about 6 hours on the skin.

Sillage is not overwhelming.
