Ruby Red Strawberry Love
Strawberry and saffron dominate throughout, with amber and vanilla adding sweetness. The remaining notes are a few pinches of magic, without which it would otherwise be too flat. I smell the rose petal as a brief flash of green, while the floral notes make it more lovable and a bit heavier. I can't detect sandalwood at all. Even in the drydown after hours, the initial notes are still noticeable, with vanillin and a drier powderiness coming in. I had hoped for a more pleasing, feminine, and sweet saffron scent, and I got that. The poetic name also intrigued me, I admit.
This amber-vanilla fruit combination reminds me of Gisada Ambassador, while the saffron note, in turn, reminds me of various BR540 clones; I am not familiar with Ishq.
If the jasmine were a bit stronger, it would be a 10 for me, but for some others, that might be too cloying and not fresh enough. Additionally, I can combine it with jasmine oil.
