Alien Oud Majestueux Mugler 2015

...by this Alien last January. It might sound a bit like a Dan Brown plot now, but I'm not Robert Langdon.

While waiting at Düsseldorf Airport, my family and I descended upon a well-stocked duty-free shop. Since I didn't want to leave a scent trail behind me on the plane, Alien Oud Majestueux ended up on a paper strip, and the strip in my jacket.

During the week in Rome, this soft and distinctive scent accompanied me: Vatican... mmmh, Alien. Trevi Fountain... mmmh, Alien. Roman Forum... mmmh, still Alien. Days later, on the way back, I was completely hooked. I could hardly wait to return to the Düsseldorf duty-free shop. I had to get it.

In retrospect, it turned out that it also suits me well on the skin. It is soft and floral, not as sweet as the purple Alien. Oud makes it more distinctive, but not in an unpleasant way. Just shortly after spraying, a slight medicinal note comes through, but it disappears with the alcohol. It can't completely deny its Alien family, but there are certainly worse lineages.

Alien Oud Majestueux has become one of my favorite fragrances for cooler weather, and I hope to enjoy it for a long time. Not just because of the lovely vacation memories.
