Nice blend--sweet, citrus, floral, woody--very modern and versatile
Navitus Parfums Crème Imperiale, one of the two newest releases from the CjCity x Navitus collaboration, the other being Champagne Royale. Crème Imperiale is certainly sweet and creamy, as its name suggests, but not overwhelmingly either, not strictly a gourmand, per se, but seemingly having a bit of the same whipped cream concept at Reve Nuit, along with some of its velvety texture. The main current of the fragrance is nonetheless dominated by citruses, spices, florals, and woods, but there are also important notes of plum and benzoin in the dry down that give a sweet and resinous backbone to the whole mix.
Overall, it feels like a modern, unisex, versatile, sweet-but-not-too-sweet perfume that somewhat defies classification. It feels right and easy to wear, and kind of fits with Champagne Royale as a bit of a jack of all trades. Moreover, it performs pretty well, even if not among the most boastful of Navitus’ offerings. Crème Imperiale is priced at $195 for 100ml, the same as the other 100ml options since last year.
