Charming, but Fleeting
Callista, a creamy-sweet cherry/rose scent with a familiar DNA, which is very pleasant to smell. At the beginning, an authentic, slightly sour cherry unfolds, combined with a juicy, red rose, which I perceive more in the top note contrary to the fragrance pyramid. The bitter almond introduces a fine marzipan note, which fits in well and provides a delicious sweetness. The whole is framed by woody nuances that actually remind me of the scent of a rose stem. Overall, the individual notes are clearly recognizable, which speaks for the good quality of the fragrance.

Its downside: the longevity. Because despite an opulent start, the scent fades after about 3-4 hours; on clothing, it lasts a bit longer. The projection is also quite weak; now and then, it can be subtly perceived in the air. Its summery counterpart Kythera performs significantly better and comes across as much more potent.

Due to the weak longevity, the price-performance ratio is also not justified: at a current price of €130, the fragrance does not live up to its performance. I would have found a price range of €80-90 to be much more realistic.

Overall, it is a beautiful mainstream scent with niche ambitions, which, although it has character, falters too early. It might be worth considering in the sale.

I like it at first, but then... hmm
Noet initially interested me as a brand because it comes from Germany.
I have both fragrances as samples and I started testing the Callista. For me, it’s a woody cherry scent.
It has some beautiful facets here and there. Especially at the beginning! Admittedly, it also has its weaknesses.

The scent starts for me directly with a prominent cherry accord.
The cherry is pleasantly sweet, but not overly sweet.
Although the cherry is only listed in the heart note, for me it is very clearly recognizable from the very beginning. Accompanying the cherry is a pleasantly peppery note, as well as sweet, spicy accents from a kind of bitter almond, but I also perceive a hint of cinnamon.

Over time, the scent becomes noticeably woodier. It has its "rough" edges that complement the fruity sweetness of the cherry well. Why? Because it doesn’t become too overwhelmingly sweet. I generally like such counterpoints. A nice example of this is the Cherry X by Kai Porten. This Cherry X is still one of the best cherry scents I have tested to date. This candidate here tries something similar. Basically great, but it feels a bit unbalanced here and there. At least that’s my impression!

The scent also gives me similar vibes at the beginning as the d'antiquités 1505 by Lattafa. I really like that one too! However, the Lattafa manages to feel a bit "rounder" overall. It feels more harmonious there and the scent is long-lasting with a great projection. Here in Callista, it doesn’t feel quite as rounded and harmonious throughout.
It starts off really great for my taste, but unfortunately it flattens out completely after about 30-40 minutes.

Now to the further development.
The longer the scent sits on the skin, the woodier it becomes, as mentioned above.
I can also perceive a bit of tonka bean and a gentle amber accord.
Ultimately, the woody impressions always remain in the foreground.

The longevity on my skin is around 6-7 hours. Tending more towards 6 hours. The sillage is moderate.
It is actually more of a gentle companion. Here and there, I would have wished for a bit more projection.
Maybe this scent just doesn’t work as well on my skin, and it might be quite different for you.
So, give the scent a try!

A lovely cherry with mainly woody accents as supporting notes.
At times, it feels a bit unbalanced to me.

Beautiful scent! At first, I get a pretty monotheistic cherry and almond. In the drydown, a pleasant amber sweetness. H/S quite subtle.

Cherry and burnt rubber - I find the Peru balsam really unpleasant.

Lost Cherry clone with more wood than cherry. Starts interesting like clove gummy bears, becomes woodier and a bit smoky, stays sticky sweet.
