Beautifully delicious
Moonlight by the house Pana Dora is truly a beautiful scent. Very sweet and gourmand like. Just a great piece overall and I am very happy I picked it up. The Flakon is beyond majestic and both the performance and and packaging are worthy of a fragrance of this price segment. I bought it from souk and was stunned by the warm chocolate feeling it gave me, defenietly one for the colder days though.

Chocolate dream
A very special scent that initially seems fruity, but after a short time the chocolate note develops very quickly. It smells very sweet (a little too sweet for me). In my opinion, the scent has a high density and is suitable for cold days and a special occasion in the evening. It lasts a long time, 10/12 hours, and on clothing for several days.

The tobacco note means the scent doesn't seem too cloyingly sweet or childish. I can also imagine it on a man. Overall, the scent is very nice and special. Overall, it smells well-rounded, but perhaps a little too much for some, so try it out first.

Holy Deer in Moonlight!
I've had Pana Dora on my radar for some time. Most of the fragrances sound really exciting based on their notes and receive top ratings from the community. The bottles are also truly a feast for the eyes. A sturdy, proud deer in the perfume cabinet would look really good. In comparison, a "Portraits - The Tragedy of Lord George | Penhaligon's" bottle seems like an early pubescent Bambi.

The opportunity arose, and I got samples of four Pana Dora fragrances, including this one: "Moonlight | Pana Dora." Spoiler alert: I only write reviews for fragrances that completely blow me away - so here we are :-D

About the scent: it starts with a delicious chocolate-plum-dried fruit combination, dusted with cloves, which somehow reminded me of a fragrance I also really love: Arabesque! But while I see an Arabesque as a strong, deep autumn/winter gourmand, I can definitely imagine Moonlight as a year-round scent. It's definitely wearable in spring and summer, up to maybe 25 degrees. Because this rather gourmand opening of Moonlight gradually transitions into a fine spicy sweetness. Tobacco with light honey and subtle woodiness. An absolute dream of a scent. It becomes increasingly lighter over time, which is why I wouldn't classify it as too heavy, and it can indeed be worn well at slightly warmer temperatures. Unisex, definitely!

In any case, I am head over heels for this scent. Do you know that feeling when you spray on a fragrance and have to keep sniffing it? Do you know the sensation of your eyes rolling back in delight and enchantment every time you smell it? That's how I felt with Moonlight! Let it be known: the bottle with the wonderfully beautiful deer head must join my collection, sooner or later! Those who know me are aware that my patience is rather poor, and therefore "as soon as possible" is more my motto :-)

The Not-So-Sweet Softcake-Tobacco Symbiosis
Autumn - the days are getting cooler, the leaves more colorful, and the scents heavier and sweeter. A perfect opportunity to delve deeper into Moonlight.

Pana Dora. A relatively new Swedish fragrance house that has been mentioned here and there, but has been increasingly talked about lately.

Let's start with the bottle:
Somehow, the creative minds at Pana Dora seem to have taken a liking to Penhaligon's Portrait series. Whether that is truly creative is up for debate. However, the bottle looks absolutely high-quality, is solid and beautiful. The sprayer is excellent, but it dispenses so much fragrance that you feel like the bottle empties a quarter with every "pfffft." So be it.

Bottle (with a lot of goodwill):
8/10

The scent:
In the previous statements about this fragrance, I often read about "extreme sweetness."
I absolutely cannot confirm that. Yes, the scent is somewhat sweet, but anyone familiar with the bestsellers from Parfums de Marly or Xerjoff Torino22 knows what really extreme sweetness is.
Moonlight is definitely not that. The comparison with Torino is flawed anyway - who the hell started that? The two fragrances really don't have much in common.

Moonlight is a scent that somewhat reminds me of a softcake. In the opening, there is undoubtedly fruit with chocolate. As it develops, it becomes increasingly bitter, the initial sweetness disappears and makes way for a robust tobacco, which I start to perceive more clearly after about 2 hours.

A fragrance enthusiast I absolutely appreciate said to me: Gourmand, but not too edible. (Thanks O.) ;)
And that hits the nail on the head:
The scent is incredibly complex and transforms: from the slightly sweet softcake to a high-quality cigarillo. The phase where these two components enter into symbiosis is grand and lasts a long time.

Longevity & Sillage:
The sillage is well noticeable but feels mild to those around. "Moonlight" forgives you for 2 sprays too many without any problems. It’s not a powerful gourmand but also not a light breeze. Perfect for all situations and also for the office. The longevity is a solid 8 hours, after which the scent becomes more intimate.

H/S:
7/8

Conclusion:
Moonlight does things differently from what many dislike about gourmands. It doesn’t come off as overpowering and doesn’t radiate extreme sweetness. As I write this, I still wonder if my olfactory cells have been altered or if the other writers have simply never had a truly sweet scent in front of their noses.
So be it!
Great all-rounder gourmand. It’s uplifting, radiates cheerfulness, and suits both men and women equally well. Especially as a winter scent for work, it’s simply superb.

Overall scent:
8.5/10

A Bit of Chocolate, a Bit of Tobacco, a Bit Mediocre
Somehow a strange scent. The notes don’t seem to fit together quite right for my nose. I clearly perceive the chocolate at the beginning, and I like it. It is accompanied by fruity-sour notes, and I can also smell tobacco already. But somehow, it all doesn’t come together optimally for my taste; it doesn’t smell truly harmonious, something is off. Is it the fruits? After about 10 minutes, it becomes more like shisha tobacco, but something in the background still bothers me, and somehow the scent remains "flat." After over an hour, I like the scent better; now I predominantly perceive the chocolate. I can only guess the other base notes. The scent is moderately sweet and hardly clashes anywhere. I was very curious about the sample and am now, after testing, unfortunately a bit disappointed because I had imagined the scent to be more beautiful and interesting. But oh well. I will use up my sample, but Moonlight is not a candidate for purchase for me.

Shitty clone house masquerading as luxury, ripping off Penhaligon's bottle design and more successful brands' DNAs.

Nice. Very sweet. Cakey-creamy-vanilla-choco eruption with mild tobacco. Fem leaning. If you wear this in high heat you could be a sociopath

Moonlight is sweet, spicy and airy. Perfect for those who don’t like boozy evening gourmands. Great longevity as well.

Plum/fruitiness w/ mild tobacco & chocolate. Reminds me of scents like Smoking Hot, Secret of Success etc. Blending doesn't wow at first.
