The fragrance starts with a strong leather note. And animalistic notes. Slight earthy nuances and musk. Along with the rose, which at first has not yet reached its full bloom.
Over time, it comes to the forefront. For a brief moment, it is even very distinct, and right then there is also a hint of oriental spices, which fades just as quickly. The scent becomes more animalistic, dirtier, leatherier. Plenty of creatures are lurking around.
After the first hour, a herbal-bitter twist comes in that keeps coming back to the nose. The scent slowly becomes a bit softer. Ambered vanilla, slightly sweet, finally gives the fragrance a feminine side. Warm wood, but always with a certain alcoholic herbiness and plenty of dark musk. I think an oud accord has been used to support the base here.
As it progresses, the already departed spice notes return! What a joy! And indeed, the rose seems to become more present. And right now, the fragrance transforms into what its name promises: DARK ROSE. An ever darker scent that, towards the end, really brings the rose to the forefront again.
It always remains animalistic and leathery. But the scent transitions from a wild beast to a house cat, and that is what makes it wearable in the end.
Sven Pritzkoleit's concept is to evoke a memory. And he achieves that with this fragrance. But what does it remind me of? I have not yet found the answer. What does it remind you of?
