Two scratch brushes in harmony
The idea of using the root extract of licorice and the oil of the root of sweet grass, known as vetiver, in a fragrance came to relatively few perfumers.

This may also be due to the fact that both ingredients are perceived as relatively scratchy and would polarize even more intensively as a double pack than if only one of them came along alone.

As the name already suggests, Liquorice Vetiver has very intensively focused on these two players, which leads to the fact that the top note already starts off very medically. I was and still am not quite sure whether my rehearsal has already been overturned or whether this lovage-like prelude simply belongs to it.

I have noticed relatively little of the alleged sweetness here anyway. The fragrance remains quite tart, herbaceous and spicy, sometimes a little patchouli prevails, which is hardly noticeable between the two main actors. This is also true for all other participants, although moss and something amber-like are still perceptible just now. In between, the earthy warm Nagarmotha, better known as Cypriol with its earthy-spicy profile could also fit in unobtrusively.

Once the herbaceous note is through, Liquorice Vetiver becomes more woody and thus much softer, warmer. more sweet and pleasant. Surely the components remain relatively unique, but here they complement each other relatively harmoniously with sufficient durability. Nothing disturbs and everything is in flux so that it fits.

But if you can't do anything with vetiver and above all liquorice, you don't even have to deal with this composition. Otherwise you have something extraordinary for autumn.
