Return of the Living Strawberry
"Per Sempre" by Christian Richard is an unusually aggressive rose fragrance with a piercing strawberry patchouli cream (!), which unfortunately makes me feel quite nauseous...
Strawberry is always a heavy, velvety, and often unfortunately musty note in perfumes. And "Per Sempre" is more of a deterrent than a counterexample to that. At least in my nose. A rose oxide close to rose toxin. Like a mix of non-alcoholic sparkling wine and 90s bubblegum. Very artificial, neon-bright, almost radioactive. Piercing, biting, stinging. Bold - but unfortunately not good or wearable for me. Over time, it becomes softer, more saffron-like, and prettier. But the tide cannot be turned completely. It remains annoying and intrusive.
Bottle: luxurious or cheap?!
Sillage: potent to intrusive
Longevity: needs to be scrubbed off... around 10 hours. Not "per sempre" - but still intense...
Conclusion: a strawberry-patchouli-rose elixir close to migraine alert... Very exhausting... Almost like Schlager music.
