Lovely Orange
The Luxury Collection by Christian Richard is a line exclusively created by Distimex from France for the Cologne niche perfumery "Perfume History." If you haven't encountered it yet, you can look forward to it when the shops are allowed to reopen (hopefully soon). Here, a variety of niche fragrances are offered in a very decorative manner, inviting exploration. Alternatively, you can of course order online - but those unfamiliar with the creations might be encouraged by the descriptions.
The bottles not only look quite valuable, but they also feel substantial in the hand and impress with gently outwardly curved smooth surfaces and a solid cap. As far as the visual impressions go... olfactorily, "Storia d'Amore" with 35% fragrance concentration is an Eau de Parfum that focuses heavily on orange. Beautifully juicy, but by no means monotonous or ordinary. The hint of moss is probably less dominant, but the combination with amber creates an absolutely mysterious effect.
One might almost think that the orange has been slightly caramelized, so it’s not simply sweet, but rather endowed with a fine, lovely sophistication. And for the corresponding tree, I imagine the citrus fruit in a restrained manner with a bit of green in between. The ingredients seem relatively natural - by no means overdone, but I could imagine that there is a bit more in there than officially stated.
In the drydown, there is hardly any trace of the orange left, but there is much more of the sweet amber remaining. I wonder if perhaps a pinch of vanilla has crept in, as the scent becomes creamier towards the end.
I can remember that my mother would occasionally prepare a large bowl of fruit salad. As a counterpoint, she would whip cream with a bit of vanilla sugar - exactly this flavor combination comes to mind here.
So, for those who enjoy a special orange scent, not overly sweet and with a delicate creamy caramel to vanilla amber touch, this should be just to their taste.

Have you tried "Baccarat Rouge 540" yet? I think "Storia d'Amore" is almost a 100% scent twin of it - despite the fact that the two have completely different fragrance pyramids.

Sounds delicious. I mean the fruit salad. ;-). The scent also sounds great, except for the amber.

If it doesn't smell too much like fruit salad, I'm in! And with the amber undertone, the scent sounds quite nice!

Your description sounds really tempting to me! Orange/fruit salad with lightly caramelized whipped cream, heart and stomach, what more could you want! This is a real recommendation!

Sounds really nice. Well described, but maybe a bit too fruity for me.

That sounds nice. If I have to go to Cologne again next year, I could check it out.

Wow, that sounds really tempting. Orange is a lovely scent note, and I can really imagine a fragrance with it combined with amber. And if it’s not too sweet, even better. Thanks for the heads up! :-)
