Pleasant surprise

S. Oliver is not a brand that appeals to me, neither their fragrances, nor their clothes.
But when I saw online that some have compared this unassuming little fragrance to the discontinued masterpiece that is D&G Sicily, I got curious. Luckily this is extremely easy to find in my country, literally every drugstore has it.

Well, Sicily this is not. No aldehydes and no banana, like the notes list already tells us. But it's a really nice fragrance for every day! It smells like clean skin and fresh laundry thanks to the musk. Warm and kind of ambery, but also soft and refreshing. The honeysuckle in this is lovely and not too sharp like it can sometimes be, the nectarine and apple add a light fruitiness. There must be a hint of vanilla in this, too. It's not an overly sweet fragrance, just cozy.
Collection is just what a drugstore scent should be: Easy to like and very wearable, but not thin or scratchy like many others in this segment; not loud, but quite long-lasting. It's no surprise that this has been around for 14 years already. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a uncomplicated white musk on a budget.

Gentle cream scent

Sometimes perfumes smell like everything, except what is mentioned in the fragrance pyramid.
s.Oliver Selection, for example, does not want to know about the fresh citrus fruits in the top note, but starts directly with a soft cream cloud. Cream of the most beautiful kind as we know it: Those from the blue can or bottle we were cared for with as children.
A little bit I can rake out the sweet nectarine and the white flowers.
It is this smell of freshly creamed skin that takes me to s.Oliver Selection. This gentle skin scent leaves you with an extremely well-groomed and fine feeling and conveys the illusion of security and a healthy world. Here I can stay, here I can be.
The fragrance does not unfold a real base but remains on the skin in soft watercolours until it fades and finally disappears completely - a beautiful illusion.

S.Oliver Selection is not a great fragrance but a beautiful one. Fits anytime, anywhere. Provides a clean and very well-groomed discreet freshness like an expensive body lotion. Top recommendation for small budget.

Well groomed from head to toe

The perfume I have known for a long time, and it was never one that I wanted. For a long time I loved loud, oriental fragrances - the more "KAWUMM!", the better.

Eventually, I got tired of my whoompers. Even my beloved Noa started to annoy me, became too strong and I needed a creamy, gentle alternative.

For weeks I sniffed my way through various perfumeries in 3 countries, was always annoyed and wanted a fragrance that I could not describe directly. In my search, it turned out that many associate floral and powdery as creamy, which for me has nothing to do with each other. It may be floral and powdery to it, but the focus should smell like a cream jar.

Even the online search helped little. Again and again Noa was recommended to me or Nivea - unfortunately, the Nivea perfume just does not smell good on me.

At some point I stood frustrated in the drugstore, annoyed and at ahe desperate. I liked soon no more perfume, I felt crushed by too much fragrance and artificiality. I wavered the end of my perfume love.

From S Oliver I already had fragrances, and my hand grabbed first the EDP - unfortunately, it was still too wummsend me. The handle to the EdT was the right thing - I was like in heaven. Creamy, delicate. Light floral notes, in addition tangy (which is usually not my direction), I perceive something citrus.

The fragrance changes little, is cozy and close to the body. No long shelf life, more than 2, 3 hours he is not perceptible.

The bottle is surprisingly clean for a cheap drugstore fragrance, does not look cheap and is a small hand-flatterer. Also in the handbag he is not a bottle that looks quickly angegrabbelt, only the lid gets slowly scratches.

The fragrance is not a perfume for special occasions. However, I wear him immensely happy in everyday life, when I just want to look well-groomed or everything is a bit too much for me. On days when I leave the music off on the way to work and listen to a podcast at most. On days when I can't be approached before the third coffee. Or days on which the colleague has used her Armani perfume again to bathe and I'm already nauseous in the hallway.

Sometimes I wear my perfume only at work, and my colleague likes to call my drawer "the mini-Douglas". And if it should be soft and neat, but not intrusive, this fragrance is my choice.

Nothing, but nothing special at all. And that makes it very special.

No one will be bothered by this fragrance. Probably many find him boring, and that's absolutely fine. A pleasing mainstream fragrance, he has a rightful place on my shelf (or my handbag).

My go-to-sleep fragrance

Selection Woman has simply become THE fragrance for me at bedtime. It hardly costs anything and envelops me in a feeling of being velvety-cleanly creamed and ready for bed. It is uncomplicated and if there are still traces of a fragrance that I have worn during the day, it is almost always suitable as a harmonious layer fragrance.

The price-performance ratio of this fragrance is fantastic.

Can be tested effortlessly in any case!

When I was looking for a creamy fragrance for everyday use, I read about Selection Woman as a recommendation. I found the 30 ml at a reasonable price and was intrigued.
When you spray it on, you can smell the typical perfume scent. Later, it becomes creamier due to the white flowers and musk. It reminds me of a body lotion - very similar to Pour Femme by Lacoste. However, it evaporates quite quickly, which means you can probably spray it on throughout the day without any problems.
Good for jobs where you can only wear a light fragrance.
