I must admit. After knowing the notes, seeing the totem & characteristics, I still expected an hazelnut spread accord. A prompt like that, though, is being well chartered by snif, 4160 Tuesdays, Maison tahite, etc.
what hazelnut in oak brings to the table is the juicy facets of every note. Green Jasmine nectar, simply orange juice, tinctured vetiver, violet leaf. All comes across as low viscosity liquids and the oak + hazelnut add the chewy texture of a silicone dog bone. It’s a concept that I had to live with for a while for it to grow on me. In the air it’s a powdery & chic memory of Fahrenheit deodorant stick. So, Fahrenheit is your signature, but you’re going to the summer cottage home that sits somewhere near 4,000m elevation. A flanker just won’t do. The Fahrenheit essence is akin to your builders brew in the city.
