Clove Delicacy!

Yes, it is the star of the fragrance - the clove! Aromatic, slightly medicinal, classic, and incredibly dry! Flanked by sunny mandarin and icy freesia,
It does not indulge in anything sweet, but becomes a bit milder over time - yet always powerful and present.
A fresh hint of minty geranium, free of any heaviness, conjures rose-green patterned lights in the clove's shiny spice black. And fine jasmine softens it a bit - always, however, powder-dry.
The sandalwood gives the "classic" aspect of the fragrance well-deserved lift throughout its entire duration.
Nevertheless, the "Extrait de Parfum" is very distinctive and resembles none that I have smelled before. I blind-swapped for this wonderful "loner," and it is even more beautiful than I expected. I love to explore the unknown - just the curiosity keeps me going. And with this "Indonesian," I have brought home a truly special "clove delicacy"! Thank you, dear L!!!!

My Visit to Temptation Island

The opening is clearly dominated by a powerful, spicy clove note - intense, striking, and unmistakably old school. The clove here is not just a means to an end, but the undisputed core of the fragrance, and it certainly has the potential to polarize. For some, this clove may already ruin the fragrance experience at this point, as it is direct and strong.

After a while, the intensity of the clove diminishes somewhat, and fine, slightly floral accents emerge. These attempt to round off the spiciness without completely overshadowing it. The composition remains very straightforward, which in this case does not weigh negatively, but rather underscores the classic orientation.

Over time, the floral nuances fade away, making room for an increasingly woody base. This brings stability and a literally dry foundation. The woody finish feels pleasantly calm and harmonious - a quiet conclusion after the spicy opening.

Somewhat out of place is the tonka bean, which becomes noticeable later on. It seems as if it has not found a proper place in the composition. While it is clearly perceptible, it does not blend in with the other notes and feels more like a random addition that does not take on a recognizable role. It stands somewhat isolated among the woods.

Overall, this is a fragrance that remains true to itself - from the strong clove in the opening to the dry, woody finale. Those who appreciate a clear, classically structured, and deliberately edgy composition might find it appealing. The tonka bean remains the only element that could have been left out.
