Ylop Sora Dora 2024

It is fruity, with rosemary undertones, and sweet base notes. Reminds me of Jany from the same house, but it's not as sweet, intense, or gourmand. Easy to wear.

I can’t say I get the apricot or apple. Instead, it’s more of a nondescript fruity mix with a hint of citrus and a blackcurrant-like note blended with tart fruits or berries. No tea. What I do get is herbal rosemary — refreshing and calming, almost evoking a forest-like vibe. After 2–3 hours, fruity vanilla takes over. So, the opening is tart and fruity, while the drydown turns vanillic and sweet.

This is mid. Jany was a knockout — this is just so-so. The unusual mix of herbal rosemary, nutty notes, fruit, and sweet notes is interesting, but it lacks fullness, character, and that wow factor. Ylop or a flop?

Everyone said it smells like apricot tea, and I fell for the trap — wanted to love it. But honestly, Amouage Sunshine does something similar, only better — and it came out a decade ago. Ylop doesn’t bring anything new to the table. Hell, it doesn’t even bring apricot tea to the table.

I'm not a vanilla person so this scent didn't work for me, but it's now my friend's signature scent. On her skin it lives beautifully. The opening is so fresh in a really joyful way and the dry down becomes very intimate and cozy. The apple isn't a shampoo-like smell that some apple scents can mimic but a nice complement to the apricot. It's the kind of sweetness that isn't cloying.

The fragrance opens with a sweet cloud bomb. The sweetness is not overtly but subtle. It opens up with fruity and roasted apricot sweet cloud. Once the cloud bursts, the osmanthus and rosemary tone downs the sweetness and add more flavors to it. The apricot is still there but not as prominent as opening.
Upon drying down, it settles to vanilla, vetiver, and rosemary. its a beautiful mix of sweet and green, fresh scent. Because the scent is subtle, the sweetness, aromatic freshness, or floral touch is not overpowering. It cannot offend anyone.
Longevity and silage are moderate. The tail is present in a close proximity. I feel its an evening going out fragrance and would suite for winter, spring and fall weather.

This is just.. not for me. Dont get me wrong its not a bad scent. But i liked it way more on paper then on my skin. It opens up with a sweet apricot and vanilla, with some hints of tea. It reminds me of a milky oolong i bought recently. Which i found so extremely nauseating. Its a very dense sweet apricot with osmanthus. Very sugary, slightly soapy. Its dries down into this creamy nutty apricot. I dont get any of the apple notes listed. I do get some of the playdoh notes as many people in the comments say, not a big fan. Im not big on gourmands in the first place and this did not change my mind sadly. Its just too sugary and it feels to me like a scent young teenage girls would wear. Nothing special and very linear.

The only positive aspect of this fragrance is certainly the bottle.
Beautiful, high-quality, and heavy. The cap is simply heavenly, and everything looks very aesthetic and elegant. I like it very much. Unfortunately, the content is far less appealing.

I expected a fruity summer dream that drifts slowly into creamy tranquility. Lying there carefully and relaxed. Just drowning the worries away.

What I got here is a carelessly sprayed apple juice that has been so heavily diluted that you have to guess the apple at first. A hint of apricot in the background, underpinned by a bitter citrus note. Minimally creamy, artificially fruity, and very dull at the heart. Simple aspects of vanilla and musk emerge but are soon overshadowed by the fizz of the apple juice. Lackluster performance. It barely breathes on my skin. It lies there lazily and carelessly. After a few hours, it’s all over.

Only the look matters here! Unfortunately, the content is soulless and not worth the money at all. What a shame. Everything sounded so good.
