Sweet, simple and a bit too artificial
Some scents work better as a candle than a personal perfume. I think Egyptian Sugar Soiree would be one of them. It's a very sweet fragrance that gives me homemade/indie vibes. Now I expected sweet, I mean this literally has "sugar" in the name and I'm a gourmand girl anyways, but this is not the kind of sweetness I love.
It starts out unexpectedly fruity, even though there are no such notes listed. Imagine the candy note in the heart being those striped hard candies with strawberries & cream flavor. Unfortunately something about them makes me think of artifical sweetener instead of real sugar, which is such a shame.
The fruitiness softens as the scent dries down, and what's left is mainly a waxy coconut, sweet vanilla and creaminess. I can't single out the benzoin or coconut notes, and I wish I could because they would make the blend a bit more sophisticated.
This is not a completely unpleasant scent to me, but nothing I would want to smell like, even less pay 122€ + shipping for. It's too simple, too cloying, too obviously synthetic smelling. There are so many better gourmands.
