My fragrance journey to the moon
My fragrance journey began a year ago. Back then, I decided to discontinue my ex-girlfriend's David Beckham perfume. A new one was needed and I ended up with
Sauvage Eau de Toilette and I thought I had arrived. But my nose wanted more and I started to sniff my way through the various perfumeries in Munich city center.
A few fragrances later, I ended up at the Frédéric Malle stand. When I found
Musc Ravageur Eau de Parfum, I thought I had hit the jackpot. A true musketeer fragrance, so different from all the others.
But then I discovered
The Moon. When I first sniffed it, I was horrified: so much animalism, it smelled like a cowshed. That didn't work for me at first. But on the way home, the scent became warmer and warmer. Fruit was added and then the scent hit me. I had to smell it again and again and kept discovering new facets. Yes, lychee hits the spot, fine incense, a light note of rose and then the oud and the velvety leather.
Like many others, it was love at second sight. What stopped me from buying it straight away was the price. I tried to find cheaper alternatives, but in the end I always ended up back at the Frédéric Malle stand and picked up another spray.
Now, for Christmas, I gave myself
The Moon as a present. It is the highlight of my fragrance journey in 2024. Thank you julien Rasquinet for this beautiful, warm and intense fragrance!
