Memories from childhood and why you shouldn't write off every poorly rated scent.
First of all, I must say that I can not understand the massive negative reviews. From my point of view, the fragrance is a grenade.
Both durability and sillage leave nothing to be desired, as well as the fragrance itself unfolds beautifully on my skin.

One may of his outbursts on the YouTube channels what you want to hold, a fan of the character "Jeremy Fragrance" I'm definitely not either!

As we all know, the human brain often associates scents with memories from times gone by. When I sniff the back of my hand, it takes me back to childhood days in which I was often times on the weekend to visit my uncle. As soon as you entered the house, a fruity-tart scent would hit you - when my uncle hugged me, his leathery-spicy perfume on my clothes would join in. EXACTLY that situation and scent association comes to mind when I smell the Black Tie.

I gave Date & Office both a chance back then, too, but they were way too generic and replaceable for me.
The price, however, I find too high with all his fragrances, even if this one I like decidedly well.
Since here is often referred to a Plein fragrance, which goes in a similar direction, I will try this soon times. :)

More detailed fragrance description:

Opening:

Fruity-tart citrus platter that can definitely spread good vibes.

after about 30 minutes:
The fruit seems more restrained, here comes up ready a leather note, which has quite for many something unpleasantly strict in itself - for me, this moment is also not the most beautiful in the course.

After about 2 hours:
The leather smells very soft and a sweetish woody note joins in.

In conclusion, it only remains for me to say:

Not every poorly rated fragrance is automatically not for you - Try through, the fragrance world is big enough for all of us and everyone feels and associates a fragrance in a different way! ;)

Pine forest and some leather or a bathroom find.
I first became aware of this fragrance about 1 1/2 years ago, when I visited a friend whose girlfriend had a rather opulent collection of perfumes in the bathroom.
I spoke to her about it and she was happy to be able to talk about it with someone similarly enthusiastic about scent.
In the course of the afternoon she showed me some of her scents and from then on I could not get it out of my head.

When I smell it I think of a dry fir forest and a ranger wearing leather boots in the middle of it.

In the opening, lavender is the main attraction, but leather and labdanum are added rather quickly. From then on, the scent on my skin is quite linear - only a slight sweetness is added.
The leather smells for me not so much rugged and strong, but rather like a beautiful smooth leather jacket

The durability on my skin is above average and I am definitely satisfied with 3-4 sprayers for the whole day, although it only radiates strongly for 3-4 hours and is then limited to a closer haze circle.

I don't think I need to say anything about the price... Typical YSL Vestaire Collection.
That's the only reason why I hesitated so long with the purchase, but in the end I have to say that it is worth every penny for me!

A bit old... or not?
GIT was the first full bottle of Creed's house that strayed to me. I was freshly 18 and was strolling through the perfume department of a Düsseldorf department store when I first stumbled upon it. Aventus was already familiar to me, but the all-black bottle looked a bit "cooler" to me (Teenie Thoughts).
I asked the employee for a test strip, who first recommended "But to try the Aventus", which would be younger and more suitable for me.
Stubborn as I was, I refused the offer and she gave me the GIT test strip.

The first time I had the scent in my nose I said to my friend, "Wow look, it smells like freshly cut grass", whereupon he turned up his nose and said that he smelled like his grandfather's aftershave. - Great start
I was definitely captivated by the scent from that moment on, the fresh aquatic note in combination with the smell of the freshly mown meadow.
- now my newly 18 years old self looked at the price "Boah 225€? - that's a lot of money".
Luckily the nice saleswoman, who wanted to sell me Aventus before, was still standing nearby and pointed out to me that this was the last day when there was 25% on fragrances - 3 guesses which fragrance found its way to my home that day.

Now I am already for nearly 2 years in the possession over this sweetheart and I did not regret it yet one second. I have often received comments a la "Oh I think my grandpa wears the same scent", but I like it incredibly well.

The fragrance opens up a little minty for me, but after a short time it changes into a compote of freshly mown meadow and salty sea air. From the smoky fresh drydown I can also perceive something earthy and woody - probably cedar wood. But I don't want to talk much more about the scents, because there are thousands of members here who can do that better than me and must laugh about this description - look me up, I'm still learning ;)

In terms of durability, it has no problems at all on my skin to remain well perceptible for a whole day in the office or at university (8h ca). With 5-6 sprayers I regularly get compliments when the other person stands 1-2 meters away from me. - BTW it is a 17 batch for the batch fanatics

All in all, Creed GIT was my first niche fragrance and will forever have a special place in my collection!

That's how it all started...
Bleu de Chanel... Where should I start? The best place to start is: "2014 A. has a birthday and gets this wonderful fragrance. Chanel stands on the bottle and A. is extremely proud. So he starts to wear it every day for the next 12 months until there is only a shred left in the bottle - but the next one is already ready and so it goes on for the next 4 years.
Even today it is still an integral part of my collection and in my opinion it is still a very good "one fits all" fragrance for most situations. Although the handle goes a little less often in its direction, I always revel in memories when the vaporizer is moved downwards.
