My very first Jo Malone fragrance I was allowed to stumble upon and still my favourite. Since I am a fan of powdery fragrances, I was wrapped in this fragrance in the perfumery of my trust. I was sceptical about the included cardamom, as spice in the rules is not for me. Here the relationship between flattering powderiness and the spiciness of cardamom is incredibly well chosen. Definitely one of my favorite scents.

Hach yes a spontaneous purchase in New York, where I was a companion in a fragrance purchase for a work colleague and with the 15th bottle urgently needed a nice women's fragrance under the nose. So I went to the Jo Malone Counter and let the nice lady show me this new scent from the English Fields Collection. I remembered to have tried all the scents at least, but I didn't really remember any of them

So I didn't expect much when the saleswoman enthusiastically placed some pump strokes on my arm.

In the beginning, one perceives the black currant very dominantly, but on my skin it very quickly passes the sceptre to the delicate violet and in combination with white musk offers a delicate but nevertheless fresh fragrance experience. Unfortunately, like many Jo Malone fragrances, the scent does not last long and after a few hours only a fine residue can be heard at close range.

Nevertheless a nice, even if entertaining experience.

Purchased a 2018 bottle from the store on Regent Street. The lady in the store trustfully introduced me to the reissued edition and what can I say: shocked in love. Since then, I've kept the bottle like the apple of my eye and only sprayed it on special occasions. I have to say that the fragrance on my skin is rather spicy and the warm vanilla shows up quite late. Nevertheless for me one of the best Jo Malone fragrances.
